There wasn't a key with the dead engined 75 so need some help with regards to which number key to get hold of.

This is the wheel nut pattern, can anyone help?

Something involving sockets and hammers might be your easiest option, or could be worth loosening off the other wheelnuts and driving around a bit to work those bastards loose.

As per Google, so may* be true.

They only used no 11 and no12 on Rover 75s. The vast majority are no 12.

I'd hammer it with a drift on the end and then hammer a socket over it.

Looks like a mcgard type, you can get the keys off eBay. I did the same with my Ibiza, I think the key came from a Vauxhall dealer in the end.

I would have hammered a socket over it etc but I'd have only had to buy another set of bolts etc.

This looks about right (it might not be though)

Cheers, I'll have a look at that. Tried hammering a larger socket over it without success, even used a supposed 'special socket' for this but again, no joy.

The "special sockets" with the reverse screw thread in them are fecking shite.  You want one of this type:

Reverse thread removers and an impact. Takes 10-20 secs, then 10-15 mins retrieving the fucker out of the tool.

Wuuvum and fraybentosgave me a great steer. That little kit had the nuts off with no bother.

Proper job.
