About an hour or so ago whilst on my way home from work I spotted a pea-green Wartburg heading north past Wetherby on the A1... ;-)

I am in Glasgow city centre having dinner with dollywobbler. He is also kipping at my flat tonight as is Mr Sloth in a bowl. It's also my own first night at my flat. This is all a bit weird.

Cannot believe how lucky we are with the weather. According to the radio, today is day 28 without rain - never before seen by me in 34 years up here. Forecast is to remain dry for the weekend as well, so you all have no excuses!

I have just been out and put the signs up, so just follow your sat nav and the signs are within a mile, trying to keep you on the best route to Shitefest. No picture of the sign at the end of the drive as 3, yes 3 bloody cars wanted up the track I was blocking, but they are the same with arrows pointing up the track.

See you all soon

that second pic is def either joes or the field of dreams :D

Looks like I'll be Saturday only for this due to other commitments but still coming.

BRING IT OAN M9S!

Update;

I'm coming Friday after work! Will most likely be evening arrival and still need to depart Saturday evening but it's better than being twatted in the face with a bowling duck.

WCPGW?

Last year I planned to bring the Solara. I got it all prepped on the morning and brimmed with fuel. It then developed a fuel leak. I repaired that and it then seized a caliper.

I then got the Horizon out and it developed a fail to start problem when hot which miraculously resolved itself.

This year in terms of preparation, I took today off to get a car sorted. Car of choice was the E55 AMG.

It's now developed an intermittent misfire which has become more constant as the day has gone on.

I will be getting the Maxima out in the morning. .. let's just hope this doesn't decide to play silly fuckers too!

E55 abandoned for the weekend now I couldn't even be bothered taking it home!

Myself and Mr dollywobbler are sitting enjoying some TV while we wait for Mr Sloth_in_a_bowl. No wait that's a lie. The TV is a drawn on outline on the wall where the TV I don't have yet is going to go. So we'll have to look out the living room window instead while having some tea...

I seem to remember that huge crane when I holidayed at Wemyss Bay, and took a bus tour of Glasgow. That was a great holiday, my first visit to Scotland, I got to spot the 5 Mackenzie-Trench Police boxes, being the sad case Dr Who fan that I am. Trying to convince Mrs D that Scotland for my 40th in October is a good thing.....

NEW CAR is mostly loaded with stuff. I have to do a school tomorrow morning before departure - harrumph.

I have dropped a bollock a bit in that I don't appear to be able to sleep in NEW CAR so we shall see how that pans out - bearing in mind that the best night's sleep I had at any AS event was in a D-reg 205 I am somewhat miffed.

new car omg lolololol

You won't be laughing tomorrow.

Neither will I considering I've only done about 70 miles in it and I can't lie down in the sodding thing.

In which car?

The ex-SiC Saab 95 2.3t auto with the still unfixed box...

I'm now on Bute and when I last looked the car was showing about 33mpg. It's been bloody hot up here today the aircon was working overtime. Never seen so many traffic cars lurking on the M6 either. I came up A1/A68/A69/M6/A75 etc to Wemyss Bay and must have seen five traffic plod hiding in the two? Junctions I did on the M6.

Tomorrow the scenic route off the top ferry past Loch Tay is planned to arrive early evening time.

Oh cms I seem to have a spare tent in the boot, you're welcome to borrow it.

Put those fucking lights off. It's like Blackpool Illuminations in there. Do you think we're made of money?

You are so lucky. I used to work just along the road from where you are now. I miss that view.
