Okay kids,

Continuing on here with the diecast packing and dispatching duties since the weekend, and hoping no-one feels left out!

If you've asked for some delicious models to be set aside, then you'll fall into one of the following categories:

  • Paid, received today, and doing a happy-dance;
  • Paid and currently in the post with a PM from me to that effect, and should be on your doorstep by the end of the week;
  • Paid, but being wrapped and dispatched tonight - [**applies primarily to large orders of loose Matchbox/Corgi/Majorette - have had to source sturdier boxes to post them out but it's all in hand, never fear!];
  • Not yet paid, and waiting for a PM to advise on the final price of a lucky-dip box of delights; or
  • Not yet paid, and waiting to see what other delights manifest themselves in Part 2, or just how cheap certain models are likely to get (you've either informed me as such, or you may have just got a PM to check this).

The good news is that both mental and physical space has now been cleared, so once the last of the big orders are finalised tonight I should be posting up some of the previously unseen stuff (including 1/18 and 1/24 models, and a slotcar or two) as well as posting lists of the still-available models by scale/manufacturer, linked back to the original post - but likely at super-special new revised prices.

Postage has been slightly baffling; there seems to have been some changes to Royal Mail classifications since I was last doing bulk parcel mailing for vinyl records; it seems that small packets are now Quite Expensive and cost the same as parcels ten times the size, weirdly. So it costs £2.95 to send one single model, yet the same to post about twenty models or more.

So it's a case of the more the merrier folks; bigger parcels = more discount incentives, as it'll cost no more to post many diecast than one.

Thanks for your patience, those of you who haven't yet received your dispatch reference, and thanks to everyone for these sales! The great news is that we're nearly at the 5/6 mark for full repayment of L'il Thunder's purchase price into the household coffers, which means very soon these diecast sales monies will be going into a special pot for roffles, travel and the furtherance of general Autoshitery...

Oh yeah, and there's action figures. A lot of action figures, which my brother's advised he doesn't want anymore and I can just dispose of. Cars I know about - action figures, not so much.

Simca/Talbot-wise, probably just this one left:

The others are either sold, or I'm not planning on selling them!

If you're interested in the figures, I could snap them later and you can see what you fancy...

My recovery truck arrived today,thanks Tim  :-D .

I wasn't sure how it was going to sit size-wise,but it's fine with 1/76ish cars.

The Skyline was a 20p car boot find at the weekend.

Put me in this category for now re Part 2, Tim, let's see if I can't up the number from two to make postage more cost-efficient...

May I just say how delighted I am with the Tomica collection and for your meticulous packaging skills. Five out of a possible five square sausage rating from me.

Yeah, that looks pretty awesome! They're decent enough wee models, the Actros... kinda wish I'd bought a whole load of them at the time!

Skyline's a decent find for 20p - bargains all round!

No worries - happy to put your order in the deep-freeze until you're content that you're not missing out on anything wonderful - and thanks for your (continued) custom...!

Yeah Tim I'll snaffle the alpine.

Alpine set aside for you, mister!

Happy to post or else hang onto it until such time as an Ulster shite-meet can be arranged... did I hear tell that Mr Binhoker's back over in August??

how much is the box of figures :)

Erm... hadn't actually thought about it properly yet!

Quite a few original Kenner-Parker Star Wars figures in there (in condition ranging from 'average' to 'had a bad time of it'), plus GI Joe (and other, cheaper knock-offs), M.A.S.K., Starcom, 90s Marvel/DC, football bobbleheads, and other early 90s weird stuff (Biker Mice From Mars, I believe)...

I'll weigh it when I get in and see how ruinous the postage might be for it - I'm not looking to make my fortune with OMGSTARWARS, so I'll say.. £not all that much.

Ooh. Any other Star Trek ships lurking in there?

Ooh. Any other Star Trek ships lurking in there?

There are, as it happens...

There's a USS Enterprise, diecast with a stand, that I think might be by ERTL - and some plastic stuff (Micro Machines?) including The Borg and other bits and bobs... a Romulan something or other? Some kind of thorny-looking space station that may or may not be from TNG years?

Apologies, I have virtually no understanding of the Star Trek universe! Will dig them out when I get home though, if your pickle is tickled by these?

I'm not bothered about Micro Machines but would like pics of any decent quality diecast stuff please!

Well indeedy...

Cars & Coffee at Down Royal Racecourse next Sunday (17th) - was thinking of seeing whether Cog Sr fancies digging his Z3 floppytop out of the garage, so I might be along.

Any interest?

Maybe not a great pic, but here's one from last night... think the Enterprise by ERTL is the only diecast in there, I'm afraid! I'll add it to your box if you fancy it, though, along with the stand.

post-17915-0-40741000-1528453223_thumb.png

Managed to dig through all the figures last night - there's around 80 in there, plus a load of helmets, alarming weaponry and other accessory-type things - about 3.5kg worth.  Mostly early 90s stuff (including two Jurassic Park figures and a Real Ghostbusters Peter Venkman) though around 30 Star Wars figures too.

As a plus, I found the doors for a Corgi BMW E30 and the bonnet for a Majorette Peugeot 605 at the bottom of the tub, which were reattached using Shite TackTM (see upthread for reference, kids) mere minutes before they were parcelled up and dispatched to Mr.CMS206. That would have bugged me a lot had I found them later on.

Possibly folks on here like the idea of a random box of stuff, in which case £20 would see the whole lot posted to a UK address of your choice?

Or I can put pics up, as preferred?

(Ball's in your court, Mr. Wack... :mrgreen:  :mrgreen:)
