SOLD OUT!! Peugeot 106 roffle, Weds Night draw, all £2 ticketeers pay up please

So I'm back to crossing fingers and toes that my number doesn't come up tomorrow night...

If it does, and you *really* don't want it, is it generally accepted that you could pass it on to someone else?  I've only participated in a couple of roffles so far, so not sure of what the etiquette is.

I am in a similar position, and if a certain Berlingo will shove through the MOT very soon, this may be more grief than I can cope with...

We're getting there with payments, about £150 come in so far. Come on the rest of you's (I don't know who you are, as Paypal doesn't show Autoshite ID), there should be about £202 in the pot for this, that's when I know everyone has paid!

I tried the same when I won a roffle. There were no takers!

Quite why anyone wouldn't make room for a 106 diesel in their life, though, I really don't know. I have fallen for my one completely, it gives me a warm feeling inside every time I get behind the wheel. Honestly!

I must have entered this when I thought the Octavia was going to fail it's MOT and forgotten about it.

I've paid for my one.

In the unlikely event I win I'll turn it into some sort of Autoshite loan-car, and some other deserving bugger can have use of it to get them out of any issues rather than it sitting on my street.

If anyone wins and doesn't want it, I'd happily refund their tickets in exchange for the car, as I'm desperate for transport at the moment...

Have a look at 95 quid peugeot's thread about his ZX.  Currently for sale at bridge money.  Could be a very cheap car with absurdly low running costs for a year or two's motoring for the cost of a scrap car and an MOT.

If I had *any* time available to me whatsoever, I'd have it off him in a heartbeat.

Same issue here, work full time and have my son at weekends, need transport by this Friday ideally...

If I win this I'll be on a 3 hour train journey on Thursday night...

Really?  I have previous with a 106 1360cc Diesel.  My mother had one a year newer than the one being Roffled, and I drove it a lot

I didn't fit in it, regularly stamped on several pedals at once, found it asthmatic, unable to maintain 70mph up some motorway gradients, not as economic as it should be, the heater was crap (either kept you warm and you dozed off, or froze you to death) and I had a couple of FTP's in it, and had to do a lot more repair work than a 40k mile car should have needed.

Which is of course why I have 4 tickets for this one.

Pandamonium: I haven't paid for my ticket yet, you are most welcome to do so and take it!

I'd love the idea of a nippy little buzzbox again, as I tend to swing between larger vehicles (Cortina estate, Volvo 240, XM) immediately followed by a Mk2 Polo or Fezzer or something... this 106 very much appeals, but I dunno if I could come up with the £3-400 necessary to fetch it back over to Northern Ireland from its current location... and with one car in the drive needing urgent work and another requiring more bits despite a fresh MOT, I wouldn't want it to just sit and fester in a corner! But! Getting ahead of myself. I'll cross the bridge of what to do in the event of a win if and when I come to it!

etiquette is that you own the car and can do what you want with it. Some people have sold them on, some offered them for free, some collect them and then use for a bit.

I had one car I won, had planned to collect it and then the roffler needed it so we came to arrangement for him to have it back.  That worked fine, he got the full roffle amount, then paid me less than the roffle amount but more than my ticket, so ended up with a car and cash. I ended up with cash. Everyone else didnt end up with a car they didnt want on their drive. All winners.

As long as you have paid for the ticket then it is your choice.

Yeah i mean sod it all, if the winner wants to go for £100 cash and I keep the car, just let me know - It wasn't the intention when the roffle was set up, but the R30 fund has taken a bit of urgency out of the situation. I'm happy to keep the 106 because sod knows how I'm supposed to go about restoring the R30 when I'm 40 miles away from it, have no transport for spares etc.

It's a sale of necessity in order to save the R30 and whatever inconvenience it causes me so be it!

I tell you this though: This engine is absolutely SUPERB when fully up to temp on the Motorway - who'da thought it?

Aye sir, thanks very much Toledo!

Cool. Didn't have any acknowledgment, and don't trust PayPal either. Tomorrow night'll be interesting...
