vulgalour Posted September 15, 2017 Author Posted September 15, 2017 Break time so a fresh batch for you all. 80 - Bentley 3 litre (cheers mercrocker) 81 - Trojan? It doesn't seem to match anything I can find so probably not.Trojan (cheers mercrocker)[Morris Commercial LC5 82 - Austin 20 83 - 1928 Morris Commercial 1 ton lorry 84 - another gaudy custom, I know how much you guys like these.1960 Ford Starliner (cheers mercrocker) of Jack Fields, Starlite Rod & Kustoms in Torrance (cheers Junkman). 85 - Thornycroft Nippy (cheers for the make, mercrocker) 86 - 1942 Cadillac (cheers mercrocker) 87 - 1977 Holiday Rambler Motorhome 88 - Robur LO3000 (cheers mercrocker and martc for the make). 89 - 1968 Bertone Carabo built on Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 (cheers mercrocker)
mercrocker Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 89. Carabo by Bertone on an Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 (1968)
mercrocker Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 84 is a customised 1960 Ford Starliner
mercrocker Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 Pretty sure 88 is a Robur but those with moar knowledge will no doubt confirm/deny
martc Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 Pretty sure 88 is a Robur but those with moar knowledge will no doubt confirm/deny I think you're right - I'll stick me neck out and say it's a Typ (sic) LO 2002. mercrocker 1
vulgalour Posted September 15, 2017 Author Posted September 15, 2017 About 70% of those are things I've never even heard of. That would explain why I was struggling. There was me thinking it was going to be a challenge this batch too. eddyramrod 1
vulgalour Posted September 16, 2017 Author Posted September 16, 2017 Gone through and updated. That Robur (#88) looks more like a later LO3000, little trim details on the front make it a better fit to my eye than the earlier 2002. 87 is a 1977 Holiday Rambler Motorhome 82 I now know is an Austin 20 after finding this: 83 is a 1928 Morris Commercial 1 Ton Lorry, managed to find some better pictures of it after running the plate through DVLA and finding that it's actually quite an active vehicle
vulgalour Posted September 16, 2017 Author Posted September 16, 2017 81 might not be a Trojan after all! In the images for 83 I found this. That's a Morris Commerical LC5. mercrocker 1
vulgalour Posted September 16, 2017 Author Posted September 16, 2017 90 - I can only think of a Suzuki Wagon R, but it's not. Or it is and it's just had a lot of work done. I can't decide.2004 Suzuki Wagon R 91 - Pontiac?1965 Pontiac Catalina - Mercrocker 92 - Probably a Volvo, and probably a PV55, seeking a second opinion on this one.Volvo 544 - Mercrocker 93 - going to feel stupid when someone IDs this, I just know it.1955 Ford Sunliner - Mercrocker 941960 Mercury Colony Park - Zantimisfit 95Ford Escort/Mercury Lynx - Mercrocker 96 - Suzuki Alto?Suzuki Alto - Ghosty, Eddie Honda 97 - Guessing corvette, but I don't know if it's custom or concept or something else entirely.Corvette C1 - Ghosty1957 Chevrolet Corvette of Bob Yoas - Eddie Honda, Junkman 98Hot Rod Chassis & Cycle of Addison's "Kosmic Outcast" - Junkman 99 - just the blue one, please.Blue: 1968 Chevron B8 BMW - Eddie HondaGreen: 1959 Lotus 15 - Eddie Honda
mercrocker Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 95 has a US Ford Escort/Mercury Lynx look about it.
mercrocker Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 91 is a Pontiac - a 1965 model, probably a low-spec like Catalina
mercrocker Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 I think the Volvo is a 544 as for the others - Junkman is yer man when it comes to those US customs
Ghosty Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 The wheels on 95, the double fronted police car, make me think it's made of Fox Body Mustangs. Definitely Ford anyway. 97 is a custom Corvette C1. The pink car is definitely an Alto, and I agree that the first one is mostly likely a variation of Wagon R.

quicksilver Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 76 - the bus on the right (DBC 190C) is actually an AEC Renown rather than a Regent V. They both used the same grille and cowling but the Renown had a lower floor. This one has an East Lancs body and was new to Leicester City Transport. Confusingly the one on the left is a Regent V but has the older style of exposed radiator that some customers preferred. Eddie Honda 1

Zantimisfit Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 94 = 1960 Mercury. Probably Colony Park......anyway its obviously the station wagon
Eddie Honda Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 97 is a custom Corvette C1. http://www.kustomrama.com/index.php?title=Bob_Yoas%27_1957_Chevrolet
Junkman Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 97 is Bob Joas' 57 Vette. After he had an accident, he took it to Bertolucci's shop in Sacramento and had it completely redone. It was subsequently shown at the 1960 Oakland Roadster Show. Eddie Honda 1
Junkman Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 84 is fellow Autoholics member Jack Fields' Starliner.Jack is also co-owner of Starlite Rod & Kustoms in Torrance. He made a similar car for Erik Hernandez from a 1960 Olds Dynamic 88 they call "Starfire". Get it? You should have seen the cars before Jack unleashed his talent on them. They were literally dragged out of the desert sand, bullet holes and all. Jack also does a lot of work for Rick Dore, who also has all his customs built from total rubbish, because he can't stomach to cut up a good car. The whole lot is a bunch of total heroes. chaseracer and vulgalour 2
Junkman Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 98 is Hot Rod Chassis & Cycle of Addison's "Kosmic Outcast" which was built from the remains of a 1940 Ford Pick Up. It's pretty radical in every aspect. It won 'best of' at the 2013 SEMA. Again, you wouldn't believe the smashed up, rusted, bullet hole riddled wreck they started with. chaseracer, mercrocker, Eddie Honda and 3 others 6
vulgalour Posted September 17, 2017 Author Posted September 17, 2017 I love that green truck even more! The details on that are just spot on. It makes it even better knowing these cars started out as wrecks too, the amount of work that must have gone into them boggles the mind.
Junkman Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 The Kosmic Outcast has some serious engineering going on as well. It's built around a spaceframe they fabricated from scratch a couple of hundred Quids worth of steel tubing.
busmansholiday Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Sorry to be late and picky, but No 76, the bus on the right is actually an East Lancs bodied AEC Renown, not a Regent. This was AEC's low floor version of the Regent that could be bodied by anybody and was their answer to the Bristol Lodecker after the semi integral Bridgemaster built by them and Park Royal didn't sell that well. vulgalour 1
busmansholiday Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Apologies, missed the post above from Quicksilver who beat me to it.
