I like that AA Escort, didn't British Telecom have them too?Strangely, I was thinking only yesterday that if there's any left it'd be great to get one of the old yellow BT estates, preferably a mid 80's Sierra with Serck-fonted pressed steel number plates...Were they some sort of mega-pov spec edition? I've never really worked out what they would have been used for, why have a Sierra (or Escort) estate instead of an Escort van?

When my uncle left BT he bought his BT-liveried (Chrysler) Avenger estate. It's the only privately owned one I recall seeing. T'was nice.

Would be a change from a Scimitar or Gilbern,

99% certain I saw this being trailered east on the M4 this morning whilst we were headed west.

Was being tugged in convoy with a really ropey A55 :)

Amazingly I saw this on the back of a flatbed Tranny heading East as I was heading West on the M4 in a Volvo 760 Estate, what were you in Pog? Never saw the A55 though!

Did you spy a peppermint green ultra-poverty spec Polo being driven by a bearded fool with no regard for (a) lane discipline (B) the speed limit © the inherent limitations of such an odious little car (d) the passenger's mental well-being?That was us!

No but I was probably nodding off as my 760 Turbo Intercooler is so frightningly thirsty unless you do 55mph, you more than likely zig zaged past me!

Shown here not so much for the car (£275 BIN with a little T&T, makes the £295 I paid for mine with better spec, lower miles and much more T&T seem rather good value) but the wise words contained in his listing...

"Remember- The car you see here and might buy tomorrow is the car that somebody saw yesterday and might buy today"

I really fancy that. What's this about though:

Gearbox 4 SPEED MANUAL & 4 SPEED REVERSE

like the Bond Minicar where you pulled the splitpin and roted the whole wheel/engine assembly for reverse is it?

That's only an IV, it's too small! I'd have it mind.

Charade Diesels are alright, the turbo ones are better mind.

I like the high roofs on 'em, just gives that hint of 'disabled vehicle' look.

I think on these you just start the engine in the opposite direction to go backwards. I think it's only the 125cc versions and upwards that got a proper reverse gear.
