Sometimes you have to laugh really....

With the exception of one large hole on the side of the van (which should be easy to fix with welding skills), the bodywork is all in a sound condition, including the sills and gutters.

That's quite an exception

IT DOESNT NEED ALOT FOR ITS TEST

Except the o/s sill? That's an easy enough job to do I'm sure.

That mercedes pick-up thing is unbelievable, it looks absolutely 100% SOLID TURD and, as far as I can see, is of no practical use whatsoever. I imagine its prone to popping its rear 'doors' open, losing its plywood tonneau cover and folding clean in half in a rear-ender too in a clown-car like display of structural non-integrity . Why fuggin bother? Especially when you are starting with what looks like a good example of a stylish, practical Merc estate car. WHAT A TOTAL FLANGE...... I DESPAIR.

Come on, give it some credit. At least it's good for transporting plywood!

not HOT ROD V8 drag... O RLY? Nice car though, apart from this.

Ah, I’d forgotten about that Crown! Used to see it round town here every so often. Does look a bit odd in real life due to the bumper treatment (or complete lack of).

Indeed. MF, you're the man for that I reckon, IIRC you bought Wuvvum and RegRit into our fold?

Heeey, did they use 3 different grill/headlight combinations on those old Subarus in the space of a few years?

Excellent! There's probably a super-obscure fourth one only for the Thai market or something.

A couple of nice ‘80s 5dr hatches there you’ve selected for our delectation. Driven several 800’s when they were nearly new, quite liked them.CD versions of the Cavalier always seemed scarce, I suppose it was just relative to how many L-spec repmobiles were hammering about at the time. They look really opulent, way posher looking than humbler trim levels (sadly it’s so difficult to tell nowadays). It struck me when the 800 hatch came out how much the rear end looked like the Cavalier’s.

Mitsubishi GTO's would be considered autoshite, yes?

^^^ VW scene nerds please note - that's what you call "patina".

That's superb. Surely not more of a customer repellent than a grotty old Mk3 Transit with "MIND THAT CHILD!" on the back and bad attempts at Disney cartoons on the side (presumably to avoid copyright infringement).
