Yeah, £100 for a shonky old non-running fake Jeep, why not. "Reserve Not Met" indeed.Love the rear wheel position!

Nice old truck, I am thinking of getting rid of my Audi and buying another one of these instead as it happens.

Lovely, but £500 and no ticket.

Have bid on the Gamma. That Scoobydoo would be tempting were it not for the clutch problems - clutches are usually a cnut of a job on Subarus.

I suspect that Subaru has quite a bit more rot than is being suggested and would avoid it, despite the super cool wheeltrims. They seem to have problems with rust.Having said that, the Subaru 1800 GL saloon I occasionally see in town is absolutely rot-free, sadly the paint is utterly flat!

Tee hee! Where did I hear that recently...

Someone would get badly caught out with this though, as its has 0% to do with a Skyline. Presea is some oddball hardtop version of - I think - a Bluebird. May even be spun off the Sunny platform, as they only have 1.5-2.0 engines. Some have odd concave headlights. FWD, maybe some 4wd?

Got a couple of brochures but really can't be bothered to dig them out right now. I'm sure Wikipedia will give you some half truths about it.

Ha ha, I'd laugh my cock off if I were to witness some TYTE DRIFTAZ YO! type purchase and attempt to abuse a car that was actually (a) FWD and (B) Automatic. OMGZ DRIFT D1 AE86 WELDED DIFF RWD YO!Idiots.

I had not spotted that the clutch was goosed on that Subaru. Defo an engine-out job on those. Having said that, engine access is pretty good on 'em.

How do you measure desperateness? I'd probably be prepared to go into four figures, if that answers your question. I've been after one for ten years. I would willingly sell the rest of my fleet to own that car. So yes, pretty desperate...

CRIPES!I think I've bid on this one before on the bay, couple of years ago with ticket on it. Well if you want to pay a G for it you can.I'm not going to go that high, despite it's mega rare-ness.

See, to me it's more than rareness. My dad had two of these when I was a kid, they're the first car I ever remember riding in, and as a car-obsessed 6-year-old I remember being desperate to know what it was like to drive. In fact I had my first experience of "driving" in that car, sitting on my dad's lap and steering while he did the pedals. The closest I've come so far to the 6 experience is my R4 GTL, but that just wasn't quite the same. So I think the combination of rareness, shiteness and sentimental value means that I would be prepared to pay far more for that rusty old Renner than I would for, say, a 2000 Alfa 166. I know, I'm odd.

Christ on a bike - it's jumped from 155 quid to over 400 in the last few minutes!

I hope the owner isn't an Autoshite lurker who has read my post and decided to run me up... :?

I understand completely. Having also been subject to R6 parent-travel as a youngster. I've always been quite partial to french peasant-transport, but OBV a deux chevaux is too obvious, as is maybe an R4 (although much less so these days).... an R6 is about the pinnacle of weirdy umbrella-handle-gearlever chic. Don't know what I'd be prepared to give, depends whether it got 'the nod' from the Management really. Or if I'd have to hide it. ;)

Hmmm.....first posted at 14:52, by 15:30 the auction has another 3 bidders & has jumped £325.....coincidence?:lol: The 6 seems to have struck a chord, there's alot of people obviously feeling the 6 'love'!
