Whats going on with the front wheel :?:

Posted Image

Probably a bent wheel axle, missing/damaged track rod end, or bent tie bar.

Thats more or less what happend to my Rover 827Si after the accident, the wheel was pretty much pushed back, but not as bad that Scirocco, I replaced the ball joints and a track rod end which pushed the wheel back into place a little more, but I suspected there might be damage to the subframe or chassis as it did not return fully.

In the last picture of the blue Morris Van I noticed the Morris Ital in the background "MJB382X" - was last taxed on the 1-08-2008! A recent aquisition?

And in the first picture of the Commer van, I noticed "E41XET" sticking out, a grey Escort cabriolet (Judging by its rear lights) last taxed in 2001!

Proof right there that old cars are bio-degradeable and thus environmentally friendly!

Just how does that happen. :? I'd love to see a speeded up film of that kind of degeneration.

Crikey for a car thats 'only' W reg and been there for 19 years, it looks worse than some other spots of much older cars that havent moved for at least double that. Nobody sneeze.....

Put in perspex case, sign 'D Hirst', display in Tate and cash 500,000 of your British Pounds. THAT is ART!

Nissan S-Cargo, based on a Micra..

Posted

I've never seen an S Cargo in the flesh- and I love them! The total wierdness of them, and the name is shear genius! An homage to the 2 CV, or tin snail, so a clever pun!!

Posted

The Nissan S-Cargo is a small commercial van manufactured by Nissan. Its name was an amusing double entendre meaning both "Small Cargo" as well as "Escargot", the French word for snail. This was because the styling of the S-Cargo looked a lot like a snail. The S-Cargo design was directly inspired by the appearance of the tiny French Citroën 2CV camionette or small truck, even including the single spoke steering wheel. The 2CV was relatively popular in Japan at this time. Its internal workings are identical to the Nissan March/Micra.The car was introduced at the Tokyo Motor Show in 1989, and was built from 1989 to 1992 by Pike Factory for Nissan. Approximately 12,000 were manufactured. All S-Cargo's are right hand drive. While initially marketed only in Japan, S-Cargo's have spread as grey import vehicles. It has a small cult following, in spite of being criticised for looking "toy like". Its rarity, quirky looks and huge signage panels make it an attention-grabbing vehicle. Both McDonald's and KFC have used it for mobile billboard advertising. The S-Cargo was equipped with a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol/gasoline engine, a 3-speed automatic transmission, and air conditioning.Optional items included:An oval portal window installed on each side panel. An electric canvas sunroof.
