I turned it off at the water melon on Chris' head stage. Considering it's the BBC it's not exactly PC is it with regards the bullying. Two gobby shites and one decent presenter now.

+1.After a promising start it's gone downhill fast and i've sacked it off for good.

About as close as an interperetation of autoshite ethos as you’ll find on the BBC. (Assuming they are not destroyed in the process)

Flintoff and mcguinness go on a road trip through Borneo in “cheap but rare cars” I think that’s where a Matra bagheera/murena +1 might come into it from seeing a few seconds of footage in a montage during the first episode.

Here we go. Rare, cheap cars.

The premise is the most AS theme of recent memory I can think of. Watching with interest.

Matra bagheera s.

Guys. This is the most AS top gear is ever going to get. Lap it up. Assuming they don’t trash them (!)

They are offroading an Allegro estate and a Matra. I think I know the results already.

No it was the complete opposite of what I thought: Allegro is doing far better than the Matra. I thought both would be unhappy by now.

New Rolls Royce looks a lot like my 16-year-old Range Rover

Fuck that RR is ugly, and not just a bit ugly but as ugly as anything I have ever have the misfortune to see.

Using a tired, used x308 jag to to a speed / bollard test. Headlining pinned up? CHECK

Allegro modified in an unconscious tribute to the 1970 London-Mexico rally maxi

Also - playing devils advocate let’s say those 2 cars are totalled- what about the exposure and media coverage- worth it?

Some would say yes

Kicking the number plate so more air can get through the grille. Pure engineering

Cars return painted rainbow. I suppose it is in protest of the filming location's customs towards gay people.

Good point; they did do a qualifying intro to the last bit mentioning that.

Loving this new series, best for ages.

That's definitely the reason for the paint job, trying very hard to be politically correct where Top Gear hasn't been in the past.

Same could probably be said about how the two cars survived relatively unscathed (winced at the thought of the pretty much unique Matra doing that trip) and the odd lack of Allegro hate (oppose that to what that moronic Midlands makeweight did on the Amazon show recently).
