I'm a bit south of Boston currently and just passed a sign for Pinchbeck engine museum. Anyone know what that's like?

Looks like its a small beam engine (1830's) for pumping fenland open June to September from 11am – 4pm on Wednesday, Thursday & Friday.

I bet they wont let us try and start that cirtoen van with vodka like the llangollen bloke did with his old shit around the back...

Ah, they've still got the Belphagor then? Incredibly, it looks no worse than the last time I saw it, which was 11 years ago...

Works for me! There's 2 hoovers available plus G101, cloths, trim gel etc. We shall have to mob someone who bought leccy hookup, I did pack a small extension lead too (might also have to buy someone a beer if they will let me charge my phone if I can't do it in the cafe but on Saturday night)

It's a date. I'll remove the back seats when I rock up Saturday am.

Actually tempted to cone straight from work Friday night but wouldn't get there till midnight. Maybe too late?

Right, I've just had a cup of tea (Irish tea for me) with a very nice old dear in her caravan and I'm ready to share a couple of early observations.

There are fix or six caravans and motorhomes already here, one young family and the rest couples of various ages. They are all dotted about towards the rear of the camping area and where I've pitched up, nearer the entrance, there's an area at least the size of Chris's field last year where we can all clump together, if clumping is the thing. As long as we're not complete dicks, have music blaring out (is Edd coming this year?) or get obnoxiously blazing drunk then I reckon we'll be grand. I'll speak with the owners in the morning and see if they have any plans for us.

A few tables might be a good idea to set up together as a central communal area, but not essential.

There are a lot of mosquitoes, I've tried to eat as many as I can but I reckon there's still a fair few left.

Shops are not close by. On that note, if anyone is coming tomorrow earlyish daytime and wants to being me cider, or give me a lift to the cider shop then that would be mega grand. If not, I'll just about survive.

That's about it I think. I'll update 2moz when I've had a chance to speak to the owners.

Me and Hairnet were discussing the Belphégor last weekend - good to see (most of) it's still there - and apparently rather more accessible than last time I saw it.

State it was in last time I saw it, I'm just amazed they managed to move it.

I'll probably be up around then if you need a hand with owt.

Oh, and what do we say to the folks when we arrive?

Good point Ghosty, what's the code word?

Alex, ill need to go shopping once vacuums and money have changed hands Saturday morning if no one else goes before that today. I think Mrs six cylinder is sending you some cider though!

what's the code word

I'll find that kind of stuff out this morning once someone other than me is up and about. It'll probably be easier if I act as some kind of half arsed/half cut liaison with them rather than everyone piling up and firing questions and shizz at them.

If need be, I reckon HMC nailed the name dilemma with Autosite.
