All I want to know is where can I get me some TARTAN MATS!?

£800 for a fine saloon with Dakar rally wining pedigree* I can also recommend the seller as a purveyor of fine automobiles.

*That motor was used in the 2014 Dakar winning Minis. Well, not the one in this car. Hopefully. Walk away if you find any sand though...

Aye, they do set off the BRG very nicely.

It looks so much classier than doom blue/black or whatever.

GLWS.

Never been a fan of BGM, but that green interior is the absolute tits. So much want, but 400+ miles away and I've no need for it, so it's impossible to justify to domestic management. GLWTS.

That is fucking gorgeous! that interior really is a grand place to be and i even like those purposeful looking alloys. Sadly like Rave I'm also about 400 miles away and i have no use for it what so ever other than it's probably a million times better to drive than a diesel Fiesta.

AM GOING TO DO A COUPLE HUNDRED MILES IN IT NOW, OFF DOWN TO ERROL AUCTIONS NEAR PERTH IF ANYH SHITTERS WANT TO SEE/ TRY IT

O78O3O19376 WILL BE THERE FROM 5.45 FOR A FEW HOURS.

2.0 16v 72k miles, timing belt and water pump recently done. Clutch is a bit heavy but drives great. I bought it off ruffgeezer for £650 and went to Lincoln in September to collect. I've since spent about £250 on new breaks, a crank sensor, link pins?? wheel bearings etc. Looking for £600 or a swap with cash either way. Just a bit bored is all.

Check yo PMs.

I don't want to clog up this thread any more than I already have.

I have a 1999 530d estate and there is also a 2000 saloon in the extended fleet, both manual. Estate was bought with a broken box at 233k and now on 252k 20 months later, saloon was bought in 2009 with 122k, now on 205k. Aside from rear subframe bushes, arms etc they've been good. Estate booked on ferry to go Germany in May,it's still quiet, comfy and reliable.  Recommended!

Aye, thats me home. Just shy of 200 miles of ragging the arse off it. Tis a cracker, other than the shocker, it really is hard to fault mechanically. Every button i have pushed works, inc cruise and ac. I dare say if anything was an iminent bork, tonight would have borked it. :)

No swirl flaps on an early manual diesel either.

£1000 classified ad on Ebay and it'll be gone - hordes of Easties up there who will have that.

Agreed. Not the bit about the mats, though.

I just noticed the number plate, which made me think of some friends of mine. It may be relevant to their interests. They have been notified, we'll see what they say.

Proper 5 series. Great cars.

I have carefully calculated how loose the number plates need to be so as to fall off around jct 36 of the m6 for you collect for your pals.......  :)

LOLz!

I've had no response from them yet, but I will tell them it's now sold. You snooze, you lose!

I'm struggling to think which of our many Chrises are in Somerset... who could it be..?

I like my Fords but if i was tempted away it'd be on one of these 5 Series, especially a 530D. I bet the torque it chucks out is immense.

To go with the delightful Scottish tartan mats and in order to show some good old Scottish hospitality, as well as ensuring there is enough diesel to get them far enough away for any issues to be someone else's problem, I have left the southern shitters a traditional local picnic for the journey home......
