I am making slow progress on this, I will update with pictures if and when I can be arsed.

 

I've got one of the wings off and am taking the nos ones to be stripped and painted tomorrow.

As it stands the front end strip down has begun and I will take the shopvac across and get all the filth from the inner wings off...

 

We are here to address this slight issue...

 

Surprisingly the inner wing is reasonably solid, with just a couple of minor patches required.

 

Decades of accumulated dross:

 

The front end came apart fairly easily, next is a date with a cup brush to get the loose stuff off.

I'm not entirely sure either, Mrs Ruff was on hand to remove years worth of crud from under the bonnet;

 

 

I gave the inner wing a tickle with the knot wheel and found some more holes... Bugger!

 

 

The front of the sill is a bit scruffy and I think I may do away with the sill trims as the bulk of the corrosion has occurred due to them.

Looks fragile! Is the plan a full stripdown prior to letting in new metal?

The plan is to do as much as an mot requires and see how it goes on from there.

Those steels are doing my head in. Are they off some sporty 70's Mitsubishi? A Celeste or GTOnmaybe.

I am in a complete quandary, I am currently a bit skint and short on time so my head says I should find a better home for Macy, but I look at the pictures from the start of the thread and fall in love with her all over again. Perhaps I ought to be realistic and sell the T4 as it is worth probably about the same as this?
