New car has been in for warranty work so this has been in daily use again this week.

 

I've had a few messages about it on RR, bumtree etc but nobody has actually bothered to turn up yet. Sigh.

Are the bumpers off a GTi (just curious)?

I don't think so, as they're just textured grey plastic. They are quite chunky though and someone has put a red go faster stripe on them at some point... so if you squint it could look a bit gti-ish I suppose!

Mongtree update time! One fella offered £650 which I said I'd accept subject to him viewing it. Silence followed. Another offered £400. I declined and pointed him toward a similar red one that was local & within his budget. He replied saying he will have more money next week & will be back in touch then. Weird.

 

Anyway I've dropped the price a little bit as it's now just sitting there getting in the way.

 

Don't tell her indoors, but I might consider a swap for something a bit more stupid / less practical. No blue AX's!!!

Thanks, it really is a very nice mk3 Golf, but I've got no use for it whatsoever now & its just not an interesting enough vehicle to me to want to keep "just because"

The ungrateful bastard sprung a nice oil leak during the sale process. Disappointing. The fella was a VW mechanic & wasnt arsed. Result!
