Crow Nest Park, Dewsbury.

What better way to spend an overcast bank holiday Monday than stood in a small provincial park in a grim northern town?

I saw some faces including Mr D Hirst, though I didn't manage to utter a word to him, probably for the best as he's a scary bloke IRL.

Anyway, I'm not going to annotate this lot as this is the second time I've written this thread out and it took all of my reserves of self control not to smash my computer up.

Some lovely stuff there, particularly like the Jowett Bradford(?) Van/Estate thing. Although for car-show completeness shouldn't there be a line of red MGBs?

Cracking pics. Bump approves.

(Except for the wrong grille on the Cav)

Some class motors there, thanks for sharing. Like Anonymous User, I was drawn to that Jowett Bradford too, the condition is just right I think.

The little Flying Standard (Eight or Nine, not sure which) is wonderful too, and the 'PU' registration means it started out life in this neck of the woods. Torsten used to have a very original one - not sure if he still has it? I always thought those Standards were a nicely styled and unusual alternative to the common Austin, Morris or Ford.

I'm rather taken by that lowered Opel Commodore (?) on the silly wheels.

Only in real life? I'm disappointed.

Everybody knows that nothing is real on the internet so I was trying to add gravitas to your long burgeoning 'scary man' persona by instilling some underlying menace.

It is nice isn't it? Just back on the road after a six month hiatus. It belongs to my mate Will and i have loads of pics of it if you'd like to see more.

Also, it's a Viceroy.

Bah, there was me trying to be clever. Must be worth at least an "I tried" sticker like I used to get presented with at school after being hopeless.

And, yes. Pictures please.

Very.

Some interesting wheels amongst that lot. You get kinda used to seeing the same tat year on year at your local shows. Like the Datsun and the Opel.

Great selection there and some real variety, just the sort of show that I like :) not one, but two Jowett Bradfords though, there is a pickup (aka lorry :o) trying to get in on the picture with the yellow HA van. Love the Bristol 406/407?, timeless elegance.

That Datsun Cherry, phwoar! Plus I spotted a few familiar buses, The Mercedes 0405 superbly restored to Black Prince livery by First Leeds no less, who seem to have a bit of a sideline going on painting preserved buses
