Jesus. That's actually pretty respectable. My 210bhp Audi A4 1.8T Quattro did it in 17.1, and the OMGa did it in 16.8

That's very respectable for a "normal" car.

 up for this?

I'd be there every time if I had more time and money than I do. I've been up twice, and it takes between five and seven hours in each direction from here, so it makes for a bloody long (and expensive) day out. Good lols though.

Does anyone else think we should have another crack at York?

I appreciate the efforts from the southern shiters what attend regularly:)

happy re york-only issue was getting 4 runs for £30 is an expensive mile;)

Is there anywhere else somewhat shite for GLFing?

I'm unaware of many places beyond Santa Pod, York and Crail..

doesnt need to be drag racing- cheap trackdays could be a winnah

I squeezed a 16.8 out of my 214SEi at crail many years ago. I was usually somewhere in the 17s.

Really want to, but sadly going to the Gumball 3000 in Edinburgh...Although, that doesn't start till 1PM.

Would it be wrong to quickly attempt to set a benchmark time for everyone in the LS400 then bugger off after? :P

Can manage low 15's in good weather, with a boot full of shit and a full tank of fuel so I'd say high 14's are possible...

Maybe Midlands guys would be interested in this - http://www.shakespearecountyraceway.com/rwyb.aspSent from my Hudl 2 using Tapatalk

what dates are rwyb on? If we had enough notice sure we could put on an invasion of sorts:)

Next one is 14/15 May. £12 in, and £25 for unlimited runs. Car clubs can register beforehand and run together.

not too bad pricewise for us to head down would likely need to be a month' notice- could do it in 1 day but would rather not:)

I'm oot - someone's broke the trainset so I'm doing two return trips to Carlisle Sat/Sun/Mon.

I'll be going with the LexBarge.

Hoping it's a good day weather wise so I can attempt a sub-15 run!

Posted

I have my weapon of choice-roll on 8.15am at Old Inns services tomorrow:)

Hope to see you all there! Feel free to get my attention if you see the LS. :)

17.22 for the Accord would worry me. My diesel C4 92 ran 16.8 at Santa Pod.

Seen the weather, starts off wet but should dry off during the day. Cock.

I may just plonk the car on a show stand and see how it pan's out, as done plenty of wet run's last year to know what time's to expect...

Based on the rain through here I'm not gonna head.
