leakingstrut Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Top stuff. Used to work in Shetland semi regularly and always kind of enjoyed the boat journey... buying a bottle or two of wine in Aberdeen beforehand always helps though! Sealtainn 1

KruJoe Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Brilliant story, well done, team! Is it a saloon or hatchback? Sealtainn 1
cms206 Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Brilliant story, well done, team! Is it a saloon or hatchback?Both... yet neither! It did have van doors at some point but another operator rebuilt the back end with the hatch back. In doing so they made it a 4 door, having been a 5 door. I believe it's Nightfire Red but don't quote me - I'll check with the painter when I next see him. It was our only 16 seater and it went bloody everywhere. The Renfrewshire Council school board was from a farm contract it did daily until June 2014. Otherwise it more or less spent every weekend either touring or in Newcastle/Blackpool/Liverpool on stags/hens or with dancers all over the country. It never put a foot wrong in all that time. These pictures were taken on it's last tour which with me on September 5th last year; we were taken over on October 1st and it was more or less immediately withdrawn from service as surplus to requirements. KruJoe Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Good old Austin-Rover Nightfire! There aren't many vehicles which look rubbish in a dark metallic red. This one certainly looks classier than white'n'rust, or some dull blue. cms206, Pete-M and Sealtainn 3
Sealtainn Posted April 10, 2016 Author Posted April 10, 2016 Back home after a leisurely drive back, she doesn't really do Shetland hills, down to 25mph at some points lol Sent from my E2105 using Tapatalk CGSB, Bucketeer, Supernaut and 6 others 9
