A combination of bucketeer and moog powers found a loose battery connection

So far the following

Petrol gauage is French. Was three quarters, but by the time got o Edinburgh it was twitching at the bottom

Speedo gauge nes pas

Seating position is odder than a Frenchman wearing a top hat

Selecting a gear is only slightly easier than Stevie wonder beating cav at darts

Clutch is lower than stealing from a charity collection box

But it rides really well and definitely had a Gallic charm.....

At least you weren't doing the same - doesn't sound too traumatic as collections go. Espace is lovely.

Having just driven this I can only state that I LOVE IT.

More impressions to come when I'm not about to eat chicken and drink beer.

Covered about 450 miles this weekend in the I Space. Mpg is about 28 which I don't know is good or bad.

Giving it a motorway run definitely left it running better.

Fuel gauge lies more than a tory cabinet minister and the headlights make the xantias look like WW2 searchlight...

Must remember to tighten the battery terminals! Keep forgetting

My word that is an early example of motorised garden shed.

Excelsior. I still think this thing is ace. 28mpg doesn't sound too brilliant. My 21 with the same engine averaged 35 on a run. Maybe the aerodynamics aren't as good as that sleek snout would suggest?

Love that solution to a clutch with a low biting point!

Next time I have a car with this problem I might just hammer a 2" deep depression under the clutch pedal - voila!

Sent the pics to my mum..... Things haven't changed
