I'm selling the ex John K, Wilson Wilson Pug 405 estate...

It's surplus to requirements as I've moved into my new place now and I don't need a load lugger anymore.

It's been a brilliant car and handles surprisingly well.

Mileage is coming up to 141k.

It still needs the good clean that it required when I bought it off John K!

And it's got the smallish dent on the n/s/r door, apart from that the bodywork is really tidy.

Alloys could do with a refurb.

As a lot of you will know its got a lot of history/bills and recently had a new clutch and cambelt I think (I'll check the paperwork 're cambelt)

I've changed the fuel filter as I was running it on part veg but now the weather's got colder its mainly on diesel...

There's also a new starter motor as spares....John K mentioned that WW thought it was on its way out... it's only played up a couple of times on one day while I've had it

There's also a n/s/f window gubbins to fit because that window won't go down ... Though the motor works.

The MOT is till 24th April.

Tax to get you home.

£525

  • 2 weeks later...

Give me a shout when it's back up for sale, I really wanted this when it was being raffled 250 miles away and now its for sale on my doorstep when my daily drive has just lost all drive.

Having problems with the Pug starting and cutting out when backing off, so I'm withdrawing it from sale.

Between those two stickers at the front, underneath that plastic panel, there is a thingy with two vacuum pipes.

Check whether one of those pipes has fallen off.

I don't think there is on a 405 diesel.

Fuel starvation/air in the fuel?

Thanks for the suggestion Junkman and going to the trouble of posting the pic, however as Laquer Peel suggests there doesn't seem to be anything there... Though there is a clear pipe that comes out of the front of the fuel filter housing just hanging down ... Does anyone know if that should be connected to anything?

In a bid to own every pug that WilsonWilson has owned previously, Fancy a swap for an Espace?

Thanks for the offer Foad.... If indeed you have an Espace FS? (Non listed in your vehicle roster?) But having my relationship disintegrate recently ....Being homeless and living in my T25 kipping in lay-bys ... Not sure if I want to find out whether a world of pain comes in threes!!! ....

No offence like ☺

It's for draining water out of the fuel filter. Is that small additional fuel filter clogged?

I still have HBOL's for these and live 5 miles away. Can I nip over at the weekend with some tools?

Yes ... CITW You're welcome ... I have one too! We could balance one on the o/s wing and one on the n/s wing ...

Seriously though,I bled the system from the fuel filter housing this afternoon and it's running and starting much better but not quite back to its old self.

Silicone seal up the filter housing lid, they often let in air.

Also at the bottom of the housing is a small round thing on the left hand side. Seal that up too ☺
