Shitefest 2016 24th - 26th June --- Lost Property

I think I will win the mileage award. I have just found out that I will be travelling from Speyside, nearly 150 miles on top of what I was expecting.

Posted

I'm likely going to be very tired on the drive down:

Finish work at my Wednesday shift 3:30am on the Thursday.

Then get a few hours sleep at the parents so I can vote as soon as the polling station opens.

Then step on it and head south bound and down!

So as it is, i'm going to see about an overnight stop somewhere around Newcastle as it's near enough a halfway point to Buckinghamshire from Aberdeen!

Stickers will be available providing I remember them. Probably on a special shitefest price too.

Crikey. It's this month!

You don't have to tell me, now we have mower failure!

Posted

Wrong type of mower for the length of grass I am sure contributed.

Will all campers please bring scissors to cut there pitch!

I have this for sale if Anyone wants to omit scissors?!

Looks good but not big enough.

I have bought an Allen Scythe that I am collecting tonight but too dangerous and much walking around for my liking. I have also bought this rough cut ride on mower but it is a fix me upper and I can't get it until next week so maybe I can test drive your mower!

You want another Allen scythe for spares? One at work if the price is right.

What's up with yours?

I've ordered a towbar for the micetro and have a fitter standing by, hopefully I can find a folding trailer tent combo thing to pull behind it before the day itself, or on the way down of course.

Has to be a trailer/pop up so the 999cc panda can tow it too!

The bearing on the non-belt side of the cutting cylinder has collapsed, allowing the cylinder to lock against the fixed cutting plate.

Bugger. I can bring a fairly hefty brushcutter if just to clear small areas, but not till late Friday night. I have no means of moving the mower!

Fuck is it this month now? I've got about 30p saved up... Best get refurbishing and selling some hoovers...

But then that's the awesome thing about shitefest, all I need is half a tank of fuel and some tins of all day breakfast! Local shitefest ftw!

Thanks, the one I have just bought was sold to me as good working order so I am not sure what I need if anything, I will not get a chance to play with it until the weekend. The cutting blade was just removed for transport.

Thanks, the fall back position is the farm opposite said they will bring over there mini tractor with cutter if needed.

On the plus side, long grass means you haven't had animals on there. We've come a bit close in Wales to actually having a Shite Fest...

I have just bought a trailer tent just for shitefest and will sell it on after or for the right money I could kip in my car. It's a real nifty thing really easy to put up but only 2 berth. It's a combi camp and I think they weigh in about 425kg certainly under the 750 towing rules. I am picking it up on friday and towing it with my 39bhp Peugeot 204D so will know more about it then. Will be looking for £250 for it. Here is a youtube link to someone putting one up.

Could be interested, but only if someone buys our full-size caravan at Shitefest (for the same money). These Combi Camps are ace. (only sold ours as it was getting very tired)

Maestro tow bar is a special order so won't be ready for SF.

I've been looking those folding ones and combi camp is definitely the simplest solution for a lazy sod like me.

I'll have a squiz at it at SF, would be ideal for panda and there is an event the following weekend!

I like this idea, a picture a day but it has to have the exactly right model number for the countdown. Thank you Renault, but are there others, we will see day by day!
