4 Sale - 52 Focus Ghia TDCi Estate £1000

Been away for a while folks, so what better way to come back than with a for sale post? (This place isn't what it etc etc etc...)

I'm selling my Oct 2002 (52 reg) Focus TDCi Estate, this is the 115PS turbo diesel engine with the top spec Ghia trim. Currently fitted with dog cage so no damage to the boot carpet or trim, I'll remove this before sale unless buyer wants it!

It's done 84000 miles with full service history (showing 52k as had speedo change at 32k), had two previous owners and I've owned it since 2008. The longest I've ever owned a car for is three years, so this one must have done something right!! Fitted with climate control (recently regassed), all round electric windows, alloy wheels (no marks or kerbing!), leather and chrome trim bits and pieces, radio/CD player with 6 disc autochanger.

MOT until September 2016, which it passed with no advisories! Enough road tax to get you home. I had new injectors and glow plugs fitted a few months ago, so one of the common and expensive problems with these has already been fixed. Runs well, turbo pulls like a train and it does over 50mpg however you drive.

Bad points? There's a small area of rust on the tailgate (very common on Ghia models due to the silly plastic chrome trim), a bit of rust on one of the rear wheel arches, and a little paint missing from the driver's side sill (thanks to the local car wash boys). Not too bad for a thirteen year old car!

I'm looking for £1000, selling as I don't need an estate car anymore and I've got a van to cart the hairies around in.Git plate to be transferred on sale. I know, I know, it's strong money, but it's a good 'un!

In Clacton-On-Sea, Essex. For added value come and visit Jaywick while you're here! Drop me a message or give me a ring on 07792 848348 if you're interested.

(Don't know why some of the pics have turned sideways, they were the right way round on my pooter)

If I hadn't have bought the Seat I'd be all over this as it would go well with my other red Focus Estate and I know this is a good one Dave.

I doubt you'll have many problems selling it, is the number plate included?

Posted

Yep, git plate coming off Trig - I've had it for nearly 20 years and I'm quite attached to it!

Sell the Seat? It's not like you to hang on to a car for too long...

Don't listen to billy these are well built motors and a great steer. Mine currently on 172k and going strong.

Lovely spec Mk1.5 in a rare colour. Complete with the desirable extras of climate control, 6CD in-dash changer and trip computer.

GLWTS of a cracking looking Focus.

Forgot to add (Thanks Sealtainn!) - it has the optional extra trip computer and passenger & side airbags (I think it's called the reflex pack?) too. Must dig out my old brochure!

The price sounds reasonable given its condition, a lot of the focus estates for £500 or so are sheds.

Although I'm not interested myself, I just wanted to say that this Focus is one cracking looking car, photos look almost 'Press car' like.

Good luck with the sale, I don't think you'll need it.

Owing to different car needs now I would love this. Sadly I have no cash. Would swap for my 1990 Honda Prelude, well known on here..Value similar...

No?

Ok

Has the cambelt been done? If someone says it is chain driven, I'll get me coat.

It's chain driven...

No, not really. Cam belt and tensioner was done about 3 years ago I think.

Lots of lovely comments, but no-one's bought it yet...
