Vintage Stony 2016

Off to Stony Stratford this morning for my traditional New Year's Day entertainment. The town was absolutely heaving with classics parked literally anywhere a space could be found so these are just a few highlights.

Looks like a top day out! If I could have driven home in any of those it would have been the mushy pea Wartburg or the turd-liveried Scimitar 8)

Not a lot more for me to say, but I give you Visa in a mirror and CX and Visa together.

That looks like an excellent gathering.  I don't recognise the Pageant Blue Princess but what a colour, really suits it!  That Foden truck is just superb.

Some great pics there!! Thanks fur sharing

Yep...ta muchly. If Vulgalour hadn't claimed it I are mostly be wanting take that Foden home - look nice with that Fintail coupe swinging off the back of it, too.

Thanks for posting, so have a nice bump from me, as most spotting threads go beyond page 1 too quickly. Personal favourites number too many and other people's lists are often prohibitively boring, so I'll just leave it by saying you've bagged some great spots. It makes me almost miss Britain!

The Cit's are nice, the Alfa gave me the horn (in a Derek & Clive style) as did the Benzo.

But please, please tell me the Ferrari owners were looking on when you walked past their Fiats - sorry Ferraris, to take a picture of the Princess. I'd have paid money to watch that.

Great pics!!! That Healey Fiesta is an interesting thing, I wonder who owns it and how come its just popped out of the woodwork? Was at the NEC too I think.

Saw this unassuming little Cavalier L today at Bicester , the stance should be a clue, it's got a 24v Senator lump in it . Should be interesting on 155x13" tyres at 150+.

Quicksilver what were you driving?

I'm ashamed to say it was a Hyundai Getz - well my dad was driving as I'm unable to drive for medical reasons at present. Hopefully I'll be driving again next year and I can buy some shite to celebrate.

Posted

Excellent pics. I'll take the blue Princess if it's got power steering. If not, the CX.

Amazing pictures, so much interesting stuff in one place.  Thanks for taking the time to post.
