As said before bub you haven't upset anyone . Some people just got a bit narky cos you ignored some good advice . But as Mr B said , they don't know your exact situation .

Do what YOU want to do and pick the advice you want .

Happy new year bub and hope things turn a corner for you .Its a shame you weren't in cornwall , I'd have done that vec for you no problems

Financially its viable ro repair and sell Vectra, reason for selling as is Is I wanted a clean break. The Picasso is alot better car overall, less work needed, years mot, comfort etc. Just I seem to have upset folk which wasn't my intention.

Stop playing the victim, if you've really upset people I'm sure you'll know about it. I haven't see you getting any grief on here, I think you've just had good advice which you've oft chose to ignore, then didn't like it when people brought it up. There are, I'm sure, plenty of people in similar circumstances on here who just get on with things, I do know that sounds crass or hard faced or whatever, and everyone is different, but continually posting your problems and then not listening to what people say wears folk down. I wish you well, believe me I do, but sometimes you make your own luck in life.

Now get that fucking Vectra fixed, sell it, repair the Picasso (ideal replacement for Escort van) and we'll buy you a bacon butty and a cuppa at the next Shitefest and have a bloody good laugh like the last one.

The vectra is worth just above scrasp value fixed,so why would you piss about spending time and money bodging it back together only to wait months for one decent Gumtree buyer,I mean,if no one on HERE wants it,the prospects on the market aren't brilliant.if I had a lobotomy and was looking for a 300 quid vectra,I'd getf the one that hassnt been stacked and put together with cable ties, not as if there aren't any others out there. Bridge it,wave bye bye.

I don't know I mean similar vectras round my end seem to go for £6-700 on bumtree etc. You can of course get one for £300 but it will be hanging.

Not sure whether it's practical for you to get it up to east lancs near Pendle hill somehow but if you could, I'd be more than happy to stick it up in the two poster and give you a hand to fit the sump, straighten up the rad mounts and give it a bit of a fettle? I've even got a tyre machine and plenty of random part works kicking about so could probably get you to a legal driveable state without too much problem. There's one or two other shiters in the locality so if anyone fancied a bit of a working party one weekend or evening, I've got the facilities....just a suggestion if it'd help you out of the dark place you seem to be in at the moment? We've all been there at some time in the last, I'm sure...

If it was a Zafira it would have done it for him.

Bub's so unlucky, his Zafira would be one of the only ones that remained untorched leaving him driving a Zafira for the rest of his life.
