For Fiats Sake Posted December 19, 2015 Author Posted December 19, 2015 Bah Humbug! I was trying to do a live colleckshun thread from the phone but the crapattak app is even more woeful at doing internetz thang than I am - hard to believe! I'll take some snaps and add them later, just waiting for the Taxi to take me to the station where this will be along at some point - a proper 125! Junkman, Rusty_Rocket, chaseracer and 1 other 4
Tickman Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 It cannot have been on ebay with a picture of the whole car in shot, and daylight too! Urko, Cavcraft and Junkman 3
barefoot Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 You can't go in a fucking taxi, catch the crap bus and sit amongst the window lickers. skattrd and The Moog 2
For Fiats Sake Posted December 19, 2015 Author Posted December 19, 2015 Too late! Taxied to Station and kindly given an upgrade to 1st class by a fellow passenger. Unfortunately tea and coffee service is unavailable at present so will have to make Harrogate spring water and selection of free biscuits do! Oh and another disaster it's a modern train. I'll miss the smell of train brakes. Magnificent Rustbucket, Junkman and Skizzer 3

Asimo Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 When did HS125s get twin headlamps? Red is the best colour for Maestros. I thought I was the only weirdo who liked train brake fumes. For Fiats Sake and Magnificent Rustbucket 2
MarvinsMom Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 the dark side you say? that late maestro certainly looks nice in the picture so i have to say that i am more than a bit jealous cos i really like a maestro. and that has a velour interior will make it a very nice place to sit, and the 2 tone paint scheme is ace. top buying sir, hope the collecshioning goes well...
mercrocker Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 P8214068.jpg Bastard Binis are getting ever bigger I see Maestro looks nice, though - always liked 'em in red. Richard and BorniteIdentity 2
For Fiats Sake Posted December 19, 2015 Author Posted December 19, 2015 Strewth! Gutter ground is as foul as ever, designed to sap the life out of nonlundunhers no doubt.50pence for a slash at Victoria and 3:75 for a beef'n'horseradish sarnie.Glad I didn't bring the dog though as 2 big escalators would've needed her carried and she ain't light. On the final (unless car is pants) train of the day. Get off 2 stops short of Ashford.I bloody hope this isn't a colossal waste of time. The car looks good in pictures, two tone paint, good history on MOT's, right engine and grey velourish interior wcpgw? Junkman, Magnificent Rustbucket and Skizzer 3
lisbon_road Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 Presumably Targa red. Much underestimated car the Maestro. Not bad handling, not bad to drive. And that paint was so easy to match too. Good for you. For Fiats Sake and Magnificent Rustbucket 2
Skizzer Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 Too late! Taxied to Station and kindly given an upgrade to 1st class by a fellow passenger When did HS125s get twin headlamps? Man, you are doing this very, very wrong - taxi? First class? Intercity 125 in twin-headlamp GLS trim? Nice looking Maestro though. G'luck. Magnificent Rustbucket, Cavcraft and lincolndanny 3
For Fiats Sake Posted December 19, 2015 Author Posted December 19, 2015 Yes, all wrong but the cars very right. Bit of rot on the arches but repair panels provided. Sills are a little crispy with the paint flaking off. Just needs that sorting and undersealing. Got a good selection of service parts included so I didn't haggle over the price.Statutory pez shot. Over 260miles and fuel light not on!Nice ride on the motorway, though a bit wallowy in town, makes as nice change from bouncy Pandas! Sloth in a bowl, Vince70, Magnificent Rustbucket and 6 others 9
Vin Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 Hmmm...the Panda Maestro.?.?. Noice. Excellent thread title by the way...(one of my many favourite films...)
Station Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Just spotted a two colour beige and grey Maestro for sale in Wales for £650. Didn't stay long to look as man in upstairs window was looking out at me at 1am. When we got back in car lady friend immediately said 'DON'T BUY IT'. HillmanImp and For Fiats Sake 2
Vince70 Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Going by that number plate the car must of originally been registered in Northwest Kent as I've had a few KK registrations over the years and have a car currently that comes from the Sidcup area with the KK registration Red really does look good on a maestro and I always found them to be a nice drive...The only thing better would be if it was an early talking MG version with a twin Webber carb and an R series for bonus points but I doubt if any of those survive..
Noel Tidybeard Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Presumably Targa red. Much underestimated car the Maestro. Not bad handling, not bad to drive. For Fiats Sake Posted December 20, 2015 Author Posted December 20, 2015 Its very familiar being back behind the wheel of the micetro, I don't remember the seat being quite so forward even when pushed right back though, for a bigger car it's a bit tight up front! It may need the runners moving back a bit, the seats are comfy though. The auto choke is a bit dithery, I'm enjoying the 1.6 engine and getting used to the gearbox although reverse is in the wrong place (extreme left and up instead of extreme right and down).Riding around it soaks ups the bumps nicely and reminds me of my old SD1 a bit soft and wallowy, I don't know if it needs new struts and springs or is just the way it is.Nice to find it's shod in 3 year old michelins all round, the oil's still a nice golden colour, certainly gives the impression of a car that's been looked after. Theres a maestro and montego owners club sticker on the wind screen, I'll have to see if they know anything of J65 LKK's history, and perhaps the best way to revive a headlining coming away from the backing.
For Fiats Sake Posted May 17, 2016 Author Posted May 17, 2016 Bumpy Mc Bumpface. As I is not driving this and is biggest car in fleet and in no way related to the £129 for sics munfs tacks the DVLA clamping bastard mother fucking twatting wanking tit mongers total Brian Cants want go fuck yourselfs mother fuckers I stick it to the man by selling the car mwah hah hah hah! this most prized of all my fleet is reluctantly four sail. Some pictures, taken today, sorry I should have washed it but many spiders are living in the wing mirrors and I couldn't bring myself to commit arachnicide on my day off. I've taken pictures of all the manky bits. Car comes with bootiful of spears as pictured and many many dog hairs are available by separate negotiation. Don't ask me why the sunroof louvres are covered in red sticky stuff I didn't trap a small animal in the fully functioning and non leaking sunroof. Moar pictures are available on request (well you can ask). UltraWomble, Lacquer Peel and mouseflakes 3
For Fiats Sake Posted May 18, 2016 Author Posted May 18, 2016 Few details I neglected to add: MOT until 3rd August (ideal for running all summer then Sorning and ignoring until Spring). Starts runs and drives without issue, started right up after being laid up for a month. I'll wait until after shitefest to advertise elsewhere, I'll put it on monthly rolling tax on it for now. Straight sale is preferred as I'm struggling for space, this has always been parked on the kerb and with the drive being widened there won't be any space outside for it. What's it worth? Maestro prices seem to yo-yo but I paid a cheap at the time £650, I'd take £525 as a rock bottom no hassle sale. Which equates to £9 a ticket. 44 & 17 pls
For Fiats Sake Posted June 23, 2016 Author Posted June 23, 2016 Bump for Shitefest attendees to mock.
mouseflakes Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Some pictures This is what happens when hoards of red spider mites choose to hibernate in your sunroof cassette. I'm sad for their tiny lives ended so suddenly just 'cos the sun was getting in your eyes.

I've been told it's the foam from the headlining that turns into that mess. I did for a minute wonder about red spidey things. I can't imagine anyone with a red afro wanting to be seen in a Maestro!
