R20tx, out of interest, what attracts you to this forum? I've seen very little interaction from you on threads not started by yourself.

Well there used to be some really interesting stuff on here - particularly spots (guess the scrappage sheme put paid to a lot of that) and also there always were (and still are to a lesser extent) amusing and good humoured stories and annecdotes. 

 

I don't see much that interests me nowadays - just a load of silly language and cars that aren't really anything at all unusual IMO. 

Therefore, I thought I would invoke discussion on the things that interest me, and I will continue to do so. All the trolls are wasting their time if they think they're getting shut of me. There are plenty of forums for people who take their cars seriously. This one, by it's very name, is set up for those who do not.

Yes, but then I thought twice. Nobody forces all these people to post negative and abusive replies. And those that do probably only make up about 1% of the total forum membership. I see things that I don't approve of on here all the time - I have the manners not to say so, and just move on. People need to realise that a public forum is just that - public!

R20tx. The reason you are winding up most of the regular posters, and probably pushing some of the less regular posters off the board is your lack of forum etiquette. Autoshite doesn't have subforums, just one big smorgasbord of delight. To prevent all the excellent content being cluttered by piles of shit there are threads that posts like the original post for this one go in. In this posts case it's the "Fuck me just scrap it" thread, or whatever it's called now.
You continue to wind up the regular posters, because you continue to be oblivious to this etiquette, even when people tried to tell you early on.

If you would like reasonable answers to your posts, please look through the board to check there's not an applicable thread already started.  

 

Also, you'll probably find you're in a minority of one who think you shouldn't pay attention to the above.

Lost my job, didn't have the cash. My mate Rupert stumped up the necessary conkers, as there is a deposit on it, can't import it as there is some issue regarding a Carte Gris - no idea tbh, out of my hands now.

If you recall on your stupid Renault 20 collection post you were given some very good advice by some of us who have bought cars from France. Nigel even gave you some very sensible advice about your selected 20TX. Namely that it was a pretty poor example and there were far better examples available.You were offered assistance to collect it which you luckily ignored. Otherwise we would never of had the black friday thread which to be honest has been one of the best threads on here in the last few years. If even Hairnet can make his way to France and hopefully back again with a Visa there are no excuses. A missing carte gris is no problem and to be honest most sellers I have encountered in France wouldn't ask for a deposit they are very trusting and will hold the car up to a point when you have messed around too much. If you had been lurking you would know just a little about how this forum works. If you say something stupid you will get stick for it. Either get used to it and accept when you are wrong or as FOAD says just fuck off and die. Now hopefully Trigger won't ban me like last time I replied to a trolling twat.

If you don't like his content or any other thread don't bump it and if that is a common feeling (which it clearly is) it will quickly get pushed away from page one. That seems like a win-win situation to me; you ignore it, your blood pressure stays normal and it goes away leaving threads that people are actually interested in on page one but no. This four page shit flinging session has been mutually kept on page one all evening for no good reason.

 

Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending him, his forum etiquette could be better but you're all smearing the first page with the very shit your complaining about.

If you want to have a closed, private forum, with specific rules around posting, go ahead!

I've had a fairly magic night out on the piss, come home, logged on to my favourite forum for a read and a laugh and ended up with this crock of bollocks. This 'I can say what I want, it's a public forum' shit is absolute nonsense because although it may be 'public' that doesn't give you the right to spout shit just to cause trouble.

 

The reason I say this is purely because you do NOT have cart blanche to state your feelings unchallenged, just the same as I or anyone else doesn't: Think about it, what  if racism, homophobia or threats were mentioned on here, do you think we'd put up with that because it's a public forum? Like bollocks we would. So, yes, this is a public forum, but does that give you the right to troll or speak your mind when it's clearly unwelcome? Absolutely no chance, and that goes for me and everyone else.

I reckon you have deliberately set out (or ended up) pissing people off and  if you REALLY understood Autoshite then you'd look at the people who have been completely out of character in their responses on this thread and realise just how far you've pissed them off to react how they did on this thread. That, in my eyes, makes you the absolute definition of a troll and (imho) proves beyond doubt you're not welcome here.
