Cannot drive a 106 in wellies. No way. Your feet are practically under the heater matrix, way to the left of the steering wheel, and feel like you have them stuck in a shoebox, the footwell is that small!

Meh, they're not that bad with size nines. I've driven Mike's one plenty in boots.

And Mrs_KJ's Seicento ain't as bad a folk say, either. After a couple days with it you'll jump straight in and be off without a thought.

No wellies, eh? Show us your breakfast then, and the RAV's swirly three-spokes. I'm waiting here with iced popcorn, and horizontal beer.

Spotted a bosch pumped 1995 306 sedan on Facebook last night and its in Doncaster for 600 quid. It's probably no use to you now but thought it was worth mentioning just in case.

French car collection overload - warning, warning, warning.

I now have a headache trying to keep up.

That little red thing looks awesome!  I'm well jel.  I found the 106 went round corners slower than the 205 when I first started using it - the front of the 205 was on well-used Conti tyres, the 106 shit stuff that I'de got through eBay to get it legal: stuck a pair of Hankook winter tyres on and it came back online, so to speak.  The "cooking" 106 has no front anti-roll-bar, so this may have an effect, but that the tyres have sat and may well be a shonky make will make it slow in corners, - let them bed in and scrub off the top surface - or bolt on the 205 wheels, the offset's different by about 6mm or so.

I really like the 106, one of the biggest advantages over the 205 is that the stereo's in a sensible place!

It's funny how manufacturers started burying the stereo down in the console just at the time 5 speed gearboxes became common.

Sorry for being slow to update this thread, I have been driving since 8 and only just made it to work by 3 pm!

3 hours down (a few wrong turns!) and 2 1/2 hours back.

Very uneventful really! Here is some pics.

Thanks again to Bub for the free car!

A HDI should also fit if a XUD does!

XUDs fit, in the kind of way that my foot fits in a size 6 boot.

Although I am a size9.

As far as the engine bay goes, it looks like it fits, until you look underneath and see the sump on the floor.

Ask me how I know.

Check the mot history on it mate, not failed on anything major. Still has great steering, suspension and brakes as well as no bangs and rattles. Anyway I'm upset saxo gone,I did like it. The rav4 brake lights where ace!

Yes it would fit, its just an updated XUD

Can't see the point thought, surely the attraction of an old car is the simplicity?
