Lobbed 25 litres of dinojuice in it and travelled 200 miles before the orange glowing light flickered on. 40mpg???

36.

Still good compared to the bloody i10.

36MPG is decent for a biggish automatic petrol car.

The idea that small cars with small engines are cheap to run is a myth I think.

Ok, have properly worked this out.

MPV 36.37

Small City Car 31.17mpg

MPV....... is comfier, lovely to drive. Finding parking spaces for it to fit can be testing, especially in shitty North London. i10......... easier to park in shitty North London. It has a CD player. Cheaper road fund licence.

i10's engine is thrashing at maximum GO all the time to produce any movement and the MPV is lazily cruising around.

It's the same reason my 140hp V70 did 23mpg and the 250hp T5 V70 gets closer to 30.

Lazy cruising FTW every time.

I had the "sporty" version of the space runner a while back and thought it was ace, slidey door on nearside, nowt on far side. Back seat slides back and forth and cubby holes everywhere. The seats were ace, and the driving position ok, but it did feel a bit like driving a van, a very fast van, but still a van. I'd defo have another, just don't mention RVR to Ruffgeezer, he still hasn't forgiven me for not selling it to him.

Thinking about it now, I'd have this back in a heartbeat, it was ace for rep-mobile baiting, Evo running gear and engine with about 220bhp.

BASTARD.

I'm going to poo in one of those air filter boxes and not tell you which one!

What year was that? Looks bloody ace.

This has been one of my very best buys of almost evah.

Slight blotting of the copybook this morning. Shock!

The number plate lights were bugging me. The screws were rusty as fuck and one bulb was going dark.

I could see the who thing was rusty and pretty horrible anyway so by sheer luck, there was a complete assembly on ebay, brand new and so on for a quite reasonable price.

This was bought and is indeed perfect and new. Much happy.

Annoyingly only one screw undid on the one in situ, the rest have rusted/seized in place. I dismantled the guts of the tailgate and tried to unbolt the mechanism but baulked at taking off anything more as I didn't fancy breaking anything on the tailgate. A job for another day perhaps. It all still works but it just bugs me.

The Mitsu is still going great guns and has been treated to modern'ish soundz upgrade. The replacement unit is a Pioneer radio/CD thing and sound a gazillion times moar betterer.

Still not got those shitty, rusty twatting screws out yet.

Go to a local locksmiths and pick up a tungsten tipped drill bit, about 6mm, carefully drill the heads off the screws, then the lenses will come off, then use some pliers on the stumps of the screws, worked for me on my hi-ace.

Arsebuckets.

The glove box lid has always been a little temperamental shall we say. This evening saw a total staying in place FTP. Bugger.

Searches for wood screw and lollypop stick.

Wood screw use averted! Had a proper look today and realised the lock engagey thing seemed too far away from the lock bit on the actual glove box lid.

Said engagey thing looked like a bit of thick steel wire. It was. I did some precision bending and adjustment and 10 seconds later I had a functioning glove box again. Much happy.

She started first time this morning and was joyfully bimbling around bits of Enfield.

She was going to be the weapon of choice for the Little Chef meet. No worries, next time. She will be up for it.
