Mr_Bo11ox Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Don't wait for me, I would like it but if someone else can definitley do something with it then jump on it STAT!!!
forddeliveryboy Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 The excellence of Autoshite is inversely proportional to the price of scrap metal. Another save Nah, Autoshite ignores all economic trends. Its excellence depends on British grit and imagination developed in these mild, windy islands where the finest engineering used to happen regularly, but which was sold off by politicals. We simply pick out what nobody else wants at any particular given moment. Either mingy buggers who don't give a flying fuck or trendsetters for autmotive desire, perhaps both. That a car as complete, running and fine as this one is only worth £50 is a sad reflection on the society and economics we've created. Can't believe there isn't an export trade in these, perhaps it's the lack of numbers?
Split_Pin Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Export to Scotland has always occurred you know! the judge and forddeliveryboy 2
Captain Slow Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 I'm interested in it for bits, subject to being able to get to it. If anyone wants to buy it, love and cherish it, MoT it, use it etc etc, then as far as I'm concerned they should have priority as it'll mean it lives on. If you want to make twosmoke an offer feel free! eddyramrod 1
Morgan84 Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 One terrible phone pic that shows nowtimage.jpegDesirable Union 16" wheel option
twosmoke300 Posted December 2, 2015 Author Posted December 2, 2015 I would say unless you have spare rear upper arms it's a spares car . I did a premot last week and I needs 2 rear arms ( rusted ) at least one front lower arm bush and possibly rear brakes . The drivers window doesn't work either .
twosmoke300 Posted December 2, 2015 Author Posted December 2, 2015 If two are coming down then it would make sense to buy my starlet too 😄S reg , 140 k vigorously parked all over but as reliable as night following day and a fresh ticket yesterday where it had two new tyresShiters price 250 dugong and eddyramrod 2
Tetleysmooth Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 I'd have thought PBK would've been on this like a limpet.
philibusmo Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Do either have a tow bar for epic A-framing madness?
bub2006 Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Is it wrong to hope the starlet does for ultimate a framage?! chaseracer 1
The Moog Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Any starlet pics? Maybe be very interested...
Sigmund Fraud Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 I was very tempted until I checked the price of the rear upper arms... I can now see why you consider it a spares car !
twosmoke300 Posted December 2, 2015 Author Posted December 2, 2015 Yeh i think they are a genuine part only
Sigmund Fraud Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 I'm sure it would be perfectly safe* to wire brush the rust off the existing arms and patch them up with the MIG using bits of an old washing machine.
eddyramrod Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 White is probably the best colour for those Starlets. Fresh ticket on it? Moog, I reckon that would make you a brilliant dog van! Or, let Mrs Moog have it, it should be an improvement on her Honda, right?
vulgalour Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Chompy tried to talk me into this but unfortunately it's Doom Blue (and in Cornwall, and I need a car that needs work like I need an extra hole in my head, and my current Rover is great) and therefore everyone would try and crash into me all the time so I'm OOT. GLWTS!
MarvinsMom Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 a better solution for the rover would be to take a trip to a local scrap emporium and buy a second hand back axel. the bits new, if you can get 'em as i think they are NLA and are a fortune to buy... oldcars 1

Reliable piece of shit Just counting pennies as a Crail car rather than anything else. eddyramrod 1
twosmoke300 Posted December 9, 2015 Author Posted December 9, 2015 Last call for the Rover at 50 quid before she is weighed in
oldcars Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 As is always said i would have this if nearer. Just for trim clips as they are costing me £££
dieselnutjob Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 How much do you want for every single ECU from the car?
twosmoke300 Posted December 9, 2015 Author Posted December 9, 2015 Errrm 50 quid with free car oldcars, The Moog and beko1987 3
twosmoke300 Posted December 11, 2015 Author Posted December 11, 2015 Aaaaaannnnnnnddddd she's gone ! Got 70 quid from james brown 😄
Split_Pin Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 Cannot believe that this didnt sell for 50 quid.
SamR380 Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 Good effort twosmoke, you did all you could. RIP Rover.
Mr_Bo11ox Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 I feel bad about it too, but perhaps i'm getting old because it was the distances involved that ruled me out. oldcars 1
twosmoke300 Posted December 12, 2015 Author Posted December 12, 2015 It's only a car guys . Not a great one either tbh so don't fret .
