A stranger on the internet is willing to drive 1 1/2 hours to come to your rescue out of kindness? Again. Personally I'd say your the luckiest bloke on here

Is it a bird?

Is it a plane?

No, it's a haunted Rover P6

With your luck you'd probably catch herpes of a secondhand porn mag.

Hope you get home ok.

I've just got out the cab and stood on a street corner in a minions wooly hat looking slightly suspect. 40 quid in taxi fares alone tonight. That would have bought the bits needed for vectra. Oh well such is life. Awaiting the great junkmans arrival now. Its chuffing cold here!

Right. Quick update. Nothing to report as such, looking more internal than linkages. I've never been so happy to see a Peugeot 405! Towed ne home fine. Really really appreciate it Mr junkman. Really smart motors are them 405s.

May I recommend breakdown recovery for any future journeys?

Posted

. I don't think I've ever seen a saxo that actually broke the gearbox, it's always the links.

This would be the MA box, the one known as the 'Chocolate Teapot'...oh they break, they break a lot..I was on my 3rd in the 306.... ;)

I do have one here that's in great nick, unfortunately it's the single linkage version :(
