C&PR Railway Visit - Driver for a fiver mug shots!

Oh, I'm definitely up for the railway visit too.

Posted

This is clearly going to be Shitefest 16.  I reckon we should be aiming to get there as early as possible on Friday.  Would be very cool to have a non mot-ed snotter there too, and an mot booked locally for Monday.  A weekend-group-resto job on the Poo Disastra would be class.

I can provide this Herald or Spitfire fitted with a 2.5 Ltr engine, that I think stand a reasonable chance of passing an MOT with a weekends fettling!

Of coarse if you fettle any of my cars I will be more than happy to pay for any parts and the MOT test. I also have a fair number of Triumph spares that may be useful.

The Herald could do with a repaint as it has been brush painted for some time and used to look respectable in 2007.

Also up for railway visit if there's any chance of being added now?

Just looked at the calendar, the 25th of June is the same day as my sisters wedding :-(

Well I'm sure she'll show you photos of it when you get back from the railway :-o

camping - youse are deluded

the ibis at beaconsfield services is cheap and get 3 in a room for the northerners :P

Plus 24h mcdonalds! The first thing I did the day I passed my test was drive MYSELF there at 2.30am...

There's a travelodge in thame and wheatley. The one at wheatley was recently in the news for having a camera in the shower, which filmed a hottie having a wash http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/crime/11839396/Travelodge-guest-finds-spy-camera-hidden-in-shower-at-Oxford-hotel.html

which is right by the asda for cheap fuel (bigger one 11 miles away at Wycombe, same fuel though) so you dont even have to get bum raped at oxford services. I don't know a local supplier of veg though. Should anyone wish to bring some down with them though...

theres a travelodge in thame which is very close - aylesbury too but far away in wrong direction,...........

Only just found this can you add me to the weekend and cho cho list please.....can I bring a grandchild or three to the train bit as they are only down the road in Oxford???

Posted

Remember - Shitefest 2016 is 27 miles from Chinnor, if you are visiting Shitefest look for accommodation between Milton Keynes and Buckingham.

cough

RLY??

you remember the other week??

Can we try and start one of your vehicles with vodka like we tried at SF15?

Will you have a random camper in the field who has nothing to do at all with AS and looks a bit scared over the weekend?

Do you have a swing?

pernod or cognac surely :D

swing? pervert :D

I went to the tip this morning, and came back down Chinnor Hill as I wanted diesel and baccy from the slow-op. Was dead on the roads so I took some pics

and pulled into the train station. My mate has just told me there is another car park bit, which is good as the one I was in seemed very small, scotland could fill it up themselves...

I'll find the pics again and have a look!

I nearly did leave the car at the tip, the Accelerator cable fell off the back of the pedal as I went to leave. Had to tick over back into my space, get out, clip it back on then try again to leave...

I have been to C&PR Railway this morning as well, but not quite at the same time as I was parked in there car park but not when you photographed it.

shooonkiest trailer ever

I can beat that luxury* trailer there for shonkiness.

Tail board with lights and numberplate? Just showing off.

Posted

Number plates don't match the car though . Still shonky!

Posted

I saw Breadvan in the week and he's planning to come too, especially as he only lives down the road. Not sure why he hasn't added himself to the list - shy, maybe? ;-)

Oh yes and a 8x4 ply sheet thrown in the bottom so only small things can fall out round the edges now!

This is it's tow car but it's still not back from an engine swap yet.

Cheap digs - several pubs with rooms in the area.    Better than Travel Lodges.
