michael t Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Please ignore if this is a shit idea but with the use of the DVLA's new MOT history check one is now able to identify Ebay bullshitters and people who have made genuine errors in their listings. I'll kick it off with this... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1988-E-VAUXHALL-ASTRA-MK2-1-3GL-TOTALLY-ORIGINAL-ONE-OF-ONLY-7-ON-THE-ROAD-/141800468800?hash=item2103f77140:g:0xYAAOSwVL1WEoV8 CAR IS IN TOTALLY ORIGINAL CONDITION, NEVER BEEN WELDED OR PAINTED Whereas the DVLA lists both fuel tank and floor pan corrosion as advisories in 2013 which both seem to have disappeared by the time of its latest MOT back in May this year. Hmmmm, difficult to know whether its a mistake on the part of the MOT tester or the seller, I'll give the seller the benefit of the doubt this time as it's a properly stunning Ashtray flat4alfa, Banger Kenny, D Spares & Tyres and 4 others 7
Christine Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MGB-Roadster-Rubber-Bumper-/231719516218?hash=item35f38f383a:g:-H0AAOSwN81WDRV0#ht_60wt_958 very low mileage on the mot ,but seller says 100k ? michael t and Junkman 2
michael t Posted October 17, 2015 Author Posted October 17, 2015 ^ Yeah just 23000 miles according to the DVLA, strange one that as a 40 year old motor with less than 30K on the clock usually = ££££££

D Spares & Tyres Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 It may have been repaired using rivets or seam sealer? ☺ Christine, fordperv, Mr_Bo11ox and 1 other 4
Christine Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Some of the so called " mot standard" welding i've seen, I'd sooner have the pop rivits or nuts and bolts holding everything together ! fordperv 1
