This isn't anything to do with me, but thought I'd post it on here, before its bridged tomorrow. As usual, the thread is full of people wanting it if it wasn't more than three miles away etc. Sounds like it has under 24 hours before its bean tins.

Christ, that's a right bargain. GLSGHIAWTS M8

Shit I want it! Can't come down and get it thought as I start a new job on Monday!

Can anyone help with moving it even part of the way?

Looks like the state my Puma was in when I first got it, got another 15k out of the clutch though until it became unbearable. The arches dont look too bad, another few MOT's in them but the rot will be deep, deep down!

Trick is to not go past 3k revs in low gears, get into 3rd or higher then gently ease her up to speed, booting it from 1/2/3 gear results in not alot of forward momentum!

Bloody hell buy that and a fiesta to put the engine in, make one hell of a fun car

Can someone remember to bump this thread in 15 years' time when OSF scene tax means that you need a mortgage to buy a Puma.

Jesus. We've been discussing the "future classic OMG Blue Oval" potential of Pumas, and £55 to get what just sounds like an average, tired example. Damn.

Was on RR for £150 with usual questions just like "does it have a heated screen" etc.

Any volunteers to drive it to Chelmsford for me!

Yeah - "if it flies and I live next to it and I can pay you £4/week for the next 100 weeks and has it got tax".

Don't need it. If I did want to take on a Puma it'd be leather/etc. and I'd pay more up front for preservation rather than restoration. Nevertheless, it's a steal. Like the mid '90s when a young car nutter could grab Capris that no-one loved (LS/Laser) and enjoy them whilst they fell apart, secure in the knowledge there'd always be another shed waiting.

Until all the sheds were gone :/

If those photos are still accurate it even appears to have about £25 worth of petrol in it!!!

Someone really needs to save this, put it in a barn/garage/shed for 20 years then sell and retire on the proceeds.

If I lived closer etc...deserves another chance on the road.

Posted

Well if I could get someone to drive it up to me I'd have it just for preservation.

Ah the irony - I now live about 140 miles away but for many years used to live less than ten from Rainham. Shame life aien't that simple isn't it.

It's not too far. It's a £55 car with MOT. SERIOUSLY.

Posted

Working 70+ hrs a week for myself and 6 month old at home , yes it's too far !

Btw I'm in west cornwall

Posted

If I were still in Maidstone, I'd prob have it to mess with even though I didn't really need or want it.

As I'm not, it's too far for something I don't really need or want.

I have checked with SHMBO and apparently, I'm only allowed one Puma at a time.

Seriously...... if anyone was able/willing to drive it to near Chelmsford I'd make an offer to the bloke.

Posted

Id have that just for the sake of having it for 55 sovs.

Alas, it's as far away from me as you could get!!

Posted

Never seen this much excitement before, anyone would think it's cheap and in a crap place.

You can all stop now though as it's in pieces now

just buy it and claim her eyesight is going, offer to buy her glasses as she is seeing double. Or claim it's not another car it's a mobile spares supply.
