Even the dreaded fleabay turned up nothing. It's a shame as even though they are very agricultural,I love driving them, much more comfy to me that the transit that replaced it.

To give you an idea of exactly how terrible they are, after test driving one of these and an old shape (non-turbo, non-PAS) Renault Master I bought the latter immediately. alf892 1

Six years old, and it was fucked. I once drove that box of shit from Lichfield to Somerset and back. Pillock Posted September 26, 2015 Author Posted September 26, 2015 After sleeping on this (badly, on an airbed, surrounded by noisy children and grumpy adults) I reckon I might make an offer if I can convince my local garage to let me store it there.So I might be pinging Lord Sward for details on the original conversion, but I imagine to get Devon to dust off their kits and build me a camper isn't going to be cheap. Apparently a converted model back when this was new was 26,000 eye watering pounds, a panel van can't have been much more than half that. (Incidentally, http://www.fleetnews.co.uk/news/2002/8/20/road-test-convoy-puts-a-foot-in-both-fleet-camps/12135/is a hilarious attempt to get fleet car buyers to choose an LDV Devon motorhome instead of a Mondeo or Vectra. Apparently it's a depreciation-beater, and they look "stunning" in Silver and it has a Wow factor of 8. The deal is sealed by stating that the double bed is an alternative to a Premier Inn, cooked breakfast and Babestation on the freeview [paraphrased]) So, that then leaves tearing out the seats, selling them on for cashmoneys, and then buying some cupboards and shit. This I can do, I'm quite happy to lob some 40mm deep IKEA stuff in and they're cheap enough to cut down at the back for the curve of the van. But a bed would be harder to source, and then there's the electrics which I'm not competent enough with split charging and whatnot to assure myself and my family of continued non-death. Perhaps I need to reread some of the excellent threads on here such as Mat_the_Cat's LT35 conversion first. Like I said, unless someone on here has been wringing one out all night over the photos and is going to the cashpoint right now, it's not been advertised anywhere so time is on my side. The Moog 1
