Screen washer blues

News update: The Peristaltic pump ordered from Hong-Kong via Ebay has arrived but has not been fitted because I need to solder some connections on and make a bracket to secure it. Hopefully this will be complete before the old pump changes it's mind again about being helpful.

I also ordered a new pump for the XM washers which arrived promptly and was fitted yesterday. I realised that you don't have to take the wheel off and remove the washer bottle but can just remove the wheel arch liner to get at the pump so it was a one hour job that only took ten minutes. Usually when I do something on the car a ten minute job takes most of the day.

The XM was immediately put away in case anything else broke before I can get it MOTed.

I nearly got wiped out in the Safari this afternoon when a guy in a foreign registered car pulled out of a side turning and started coming towards me on my side of the road. Fitting the air horns last week was a REALLY GOOD IDEA.
