Totally...

Apparently, there is a classic chod auction at Donington Park on 24 Feb.

Shall we shine up our wellies and attend?

I mean, the ones that are still interested in individual transport, that is.

This.

It'll be like Cannock with less Daft Old Giffer Auctioneer and more Pound Notes. Also, nearer to me.

^ I was thinking of visiting Preston soon to look at the bus station...

I also have a hankering to pop to the Isle of Wight to play on the 1938 London tube stock they have instead of proper trains.

We still on for this folks? Pretty as Bridgenorth is, I've already found myself there on my tod once this year (in pouring rain too).

Apparently it's not going to rain tomorrow, Ian, so you're safe.

Oh, and we'll be there. When I say we, I really mean me. I haven't a clue what anyone else is doing.

Are you still picking me up in the Sideboard?  :)

Posted

At Bridgnorth, yes. Due to the unique velocity of the sideboard, Cannock will have to be somewhat earlier. Due to where I keep the car. My rising out of bed will be somewhat earlier still!

Time?

You tell me, chief.  I'll be ready for Auntie  :)

Met Dodytom today in Cradley and have hopefully convinced him to join us in Bridgnorth tomorrow. As I said, I should be there around 2pm. I shall phone someone in case I can't find any of you (unlikely)

I'll be there

Fuck

Where can I buy a dashcam at this hour?

I appear to be up and awake far too early. So, I'm going to head over and see if I can spy a nice spot for perving over the steam train as it heads towards Bridgnorth. *rubs thighs*

I'm up and about. Well up and watching movies in bed. I'll get up soon as its about 70 mile away

I'll bring your radio etc Mr 5

If I'm daddy day-care (looking likely) can you give stuff to Lord Sterling?

Cheers.

My eagerness was rewarded with a bit of line-side parking further along the line.

A video of my reward is here. https://twitter.com/dollywobbler/status/682887901567422464

Some Autoshiters arrived, so we headed off for a walk around town and to look at the Cliffside Railway. WHICH WAS CLOSED!

Thankfully, the mean streets of Bridgnorth provided. Tat. This Triumph was not as good as it looked I don't think.

My stupidly slow phone wasn't quick enough for the early 90s (I think) Mercury Cougar. Twas grim. So was this! Inspected Rejected by Autoshiters.

Dodgytom's Pennant isn't dodgy at all. I love it.

Free van tempted a few...

I got a drive in this fine, slow steed. Thanks FPB7! Freewheel FTW and the scary stop.

And then I found this lurking on a farm on my joyous drive home. I don't think I travelled in a straight line for longer than quarter of a mile!

That looks like a brilliant get together, I really did pick the wrong day to be at the other end of the country.

Great day had. The transit ended up staying at the railway and we ended up at Aberystwyth. Don't ask.
