You fucking hypocrite. Bad mouthing that delicious croissant in front of your trendy Internet mates.
At least, as always, I can trust the packaging.

ZOMG Triumph BORKED!!!!!!

Well, not really.  The rev counter has jacked it in, that's all.

Yesterday I learned a PHACKT about SU carbs.  They pish oot petrol when it is hot.  Thanks to a very dunderheaded and selfish white van man, who made himself ten minutes late by being tool impatient to wait 90 seconds to clear an access way, the car almost overheated (ZOMG warped head of DOOM HGF DISAST!  [averted]).   When I opened the bonnet to help cool the heap, I saw petrol all over the front carb, dropping onto the end of the alternator.   When running the engine, the fuel vented out of the pipe on the carb.  A quick bit of mobile phone Googlage found numerous MG sites with deets of what was going on, and later all was fine, but this was I IS LERN STUF ABOUT CARZ.

I am going to get a go in this Staaaaag, as it belongs to a bloke I lived next door to until recently, and we had a coincidental hoon today when I spotted him coming out of the local pezzer.

A yellow dolly sprint is Mrs Crabs favorite old car, she was on about buying one (maybe not a sprint though). Can I bring her round and have her taken for a spin in it? She even lives in Oxford.

Go on, go on, go on, go on.

PS:  welcome to come for a spin any time.

Wow that looks lovely, I have always liked the Dolomite Sprints and in the early eighties my boss had one I got to drive, at the time I felt it was spoiled by being an Auto but he still managed to get done for speeding at over 100 mph and banned from driving for a few weeks!

If I can get someone to fix the misfire on my Dolly  (have been too busy at work to sort this), we could even do an EPIC KRAYZEE KOLLEKSION KAPER involving not one but two yellow and black BL heaps standing in a pool of fluids waiting for a yellow and black van.

I really don’t need to buy any more cars this week!

I already have a running Vitesse if you ever want a Triumph tour.

What I should do, rather than buy another car is to get my Spitfire MIII 2.5 Ltr back on the road it is not rotten or broken just has not been used for 3 years, the only thing I know needs sorting is a rear brake was locked on I had to remove the brake shoes to load it onto a trailer.

It's a strange concept where instead of dreaming of buying cars or buying cars you fix the ones you already own, then it's a bit like getting a new one!

The words that do not compute to me are "Selling Cars" why would any right minded person want to sell a car they had worked hard to get!

OMG OmG oMg! Six!

That spitfire is a beauty!

Organise a 'Autoshite spannering BBQ' on that field one weekend and I bet we can put all these beauties back on the road :)

It's a great idea but for the British weather, I held a party in the field when we got it and realised how the weather would make or break it, I was lucy that time. A mini Shitefest beer could be drunk, campers could camp but if it rains it would be miserable.

I don't give a duck about miserable weather.

I do have 2 canopies that could work as temporary garages if necessary...

Thought I saw this car parked up at the side of the main road (A4010?) in Princes Risborough this morning. Turns out it isn't when I rechecked the thread and the plate - the car in P.R. was on an L suffix which I assume is very early for a Sprint.

Stuff the weather...... BBQ!!!!!!!!!!!!! Car fixing!!!!!!!!

There is a yellow Sprint that lives in Risborough, near the Bell pub, but I have never met the owner or seen the car moving.

Or maybe I have - does it have a (naff) 1980s glass sunroof inserted into the vinyl roof?

No idea on the proximity to pub or roof. Definitely a Sprint, Mimosa yellow, L suffix plate, looked very tidy.

I have seen this parked for years and it looks like it is in use. There is also a bubble car parked behind it but I can't remember the make.

Yaroo.  Roy the travelling super mech is returning to light duties, so hopefully he can sort out the Dolly soonish.

One of these days I must put the mega expensive bespoke cover I bought for the car on the actual car, I suppose.

Just saw it this evening.  Possibly the other type of yellow.

I can't remember everything you've tried so far with this, but I have a vague recollection that the carb mountings split and bugger up the mixture on these. Could be I'm thinking about the wrong car though.
