2MB Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Just thought I'd start posting my spots,as I've seen a few solid gold pieces of chod on work travels recently and failed to stop for photos. If there's somewhere to put the pictures other than a hard drive, it's more likely I'll bother to take them, and shite is made for sharing!A few from the archives. Cuba to start with: Fucked 7 series 404+405 Soviets brickwall, danthecapriman and vulgalour 3
2MB Posted June 22, 2015 Author Posted June 22, 2015 Datsun wagon Golf GTI Mercedes strangeangel, vulgalour, danthecapriman and 2 others 5
2MB Posted June 22, 2015 Author Posted June 22, 2015 ZIL? More tomorrow, they're taking an age to upload worldofceri, vulgalour, brickwall and 3 others 6
Ghosty Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Cuba must be shite paradise - is there anything they don't have (albeit probably with a Lada engine)?
cort1977 Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Fairly sure they don't have much yank stuff built after 1963. Sorry, smart arse answer. Surprised to see so much newer European stuff there, 80s Golf? I thought it was all old Yanks or new Russians. Apparently the Canadians are annoyed that the US embargo is being lifted as it means their cheap vacation island will now be overrun with Americans.
skoda_fan Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 I got all excited thinking your thread title meant two Skoda 1000MB's had been spotted! However your photos don't disappoint. I love Cuba pics. A Zil in the wild...amazing! I'd love to get over there before everything inevitably changes. Keep the photos coming.
castros_bro Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Fairly sure they don't have much yank stuff built after 1963. Canadians are worried about the future of post Soviet Cuba as they were one of the few countries willing to work with Cuba re Helms Burton act and American sanctions, and have, for years, assisted in Cuban hydrocarbon exploration, power generation, and farming (the 3 bits I have experience of ) - none of which was for export. Cuba was almost self sustainable with free education and hospitals. The Canadians are worried the Americans are going to distort this model by arriving in numbers, buying real estate with US cash and thus end up making Cuba a service country dependant on America as it was in the Batista era. I'll stop there brfore it gets political.
2MB Posted June 23, 2015 Author Posted June 23, 2015 I took loads of photos in Cuba, mostly of the 50s yanks everyone knows about but there was a lot of more obscure tin as well, including a wonderfully scruffy mk1 capri. Cant bloody find them though, so we'll move on for now.Couple from Nice danthecapriman, Skizzer and worldofceri 3
2MB Posted June 23, 2015 Author Posted June 23, 2015 Oh good, they're on the piss. Hopefully I can resolve that somehow for future ones
2MB Posted July 1, 2015 Author Posted July 1, 2015 It wasn't the same one tayne, was mostly blue the one I saw. I'll come back to the foreign ones when I find them. For now have some recent ones,Mostly seen around Huddersfield. Skizzer, worldofceri and danthecapriman 3
AlabamaShrimp Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 I did a couple of days work at that place with the XJC outside and I didn't see the capri. I doubt it's the same one from minder though
