I'll start at the  end (well as it is today) and then do a brief history over the next few days, so, this is how the car looks at the moment.

That looks ace! Hopes its supercharged, turbocharged and wind powered.

Both engines are Turbo and Supercharged, but the only wind power is out of my backside :)

Six years ago it looked like this,

First few mods were quite mild, wheels and a bit of laughing gas

If it looked like this a week ago

then you might struggle a bit on here.  Assuming it didn't, though, welcome along!

About 4and a half years ago things started to get a bit more serious,

I got rid of the aircon and put this in it's place.

This was the first of many incarnations of the plumbing over the next two years.

Bit of mapping on the rollers, I seem to remember about 310bhp initially

I just found this ont' blue. (I'm not often seen over there.) Wowee!

http://retrorides.proboards.com/thread/71239/1996-volvo-kompressor-engined-project

I've a couple of 850's myself, and I must admit I've dreamed of the possibilities of doing the same, especially as the front subframes are much like an old mini - just a rectangle with nearly everything bolted in.

Did you ever have the temptation to keep it looking standard?

Initially i wanted to keep it a bit of a sleeper, but the more I moded it the more I needed to modify the bodywork, then with a couple of sponsors on board it was a bit more important to make it eye catching.

So, the next two years saw many different pipe configurations biger turbos and the return of nitrous.

Lolz, I just got to the page on RR where I offered you a bonnet and hinges after yours flipped up on the strip, back in 2011!

Forgot all about that! Brilliant!

I still have those bits if you need them... reading on :)

I think I've ruined three bonnets like that :D

Next signifigant update was a forged engine which with a bigger turbo and a bit of work on the head saw power rise to 434bhp, which then showed up the next issue, I had to limit power (well tourque) to protect the drive train, so it was either going to have to spend silly money on a stronger gearbox and diff or come up with a new plan, which is where this little cracker comes in.

But it didn't stay like that for long.

Utterly nuts but fantastic. Welcome indeed!

I think I know where this is going but for reasons unknown I reckon the SVM version of a T-10 would be more along the lines of a mid mounted Volvo THD102, the bus equivalent of the XUD.

Looking forward to reading more on this... welcome along!

Next, strip off everything off the back of the car.

Time to start modifying the bodywork, which will be necessary to cover the wheels which are needed to fit over the new brakes ;)

Now just paint it beige and lie in wait for unsuspecting Audi/BMW drivers. Oh what fun.
