Can anyone think of a more shite / less appropriate vehicle for the constabulary to use?

I can only assume the intention was to catch crims by making them laugh so hard at the absurdity that they were unable to leg it.

Purports to be 1975 in Seoul though I would say later!

Here we see a HOT FUZZ Cortina, possibly not in hot pursuit of two lovely Hyundai Pony's.

Note also the Mk2 Granada and second cortina coming the other way.

Thats a traffic enforcement vehicle. Most commonly used by the traffic wardens (and as seen in Dead Like Me and Wonderfalls).sorry, there really isnt a lot to do when off sick and unable to drive.... Daytime telly is soul destroying.

Electric escort van

M981 XPU This was the first electric police car to be seen in the UK. It is based on a Ford Escort van and is called a Ford Ecostar. It has a number of sponsors listed on the sides and is still owned by Hampshire Police. Ford made a number of these vehicles in the early 1990s which were easily identifiable by the small holes in the wheels and grille. The vehicles had a 15 seconds 0-60 mph time and a large hot sodium battery hidden beneath the cargo floor.

Still on Essex plates; probably registered in Brentwood (Fords admin office) or Basildon (large office there too, and closest "big" town to Dunton).

Hyundai started out building Mk 2 Cortinas from kits, and continued to do so until the Cortina died in 1982 - hence the Stellar, which was basically a Korean Cortina Mk6.
