andrew e Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 http://www.everydaybrilliance.co.uk/default.aspx The railways been good to me - you could do a lot worse! Dunno what the upper age limit is mind you. Just thought it might benefit one of you lot or a niece or nephew or neighbour.
pogweasel Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 I did their quiz, only scored 19/24 though.
aled Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 24/24 for me i must be such an arse licker, do you think i will get an apprenticeship at 46yo
Dukestar25 Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 I only have 2 GCSE's so that counts me out!
VWPowered Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 if they kept me up all night id give the fu**er a beating not grass him up
simmo Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 I did a course on the new age discrimination regs at work and they have had to change the upper age limit for apprenticeship to 57. We can also apply to retire at 60.
M'coli Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Do you think that quiz was written by someone who's ever lifted a big hammer? Not me, but I can think of something else that they've probably lifted...
andrew e Posted January 11, 2009 Author Posted January 11, 2009 I'd say its a well meaning H.R. person that wrote that, and they have never been on the track or hanging from the overheads
hobo Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 wooo!!16 out of 24,but "however,i am not quite suitable in some of there areas because of my thinking"or some such bollocks!whats that bloke looking at in the picture?trains dont come from that way on,mate....
pogweasel Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 When I did it I got full points on everything except 'respect', which figures, because I am a miserable, rude, misanthropic bastard, and if I wasn't I would feel sorry for any unlucky c*nt who ever has the misfortune to work with me.....Don't wanna work on the bloody railway anyway, in my experience network rail is such a bloody pain in the arse to get anything done it drives you insane. I keep fairly quiet that I still have a valid PTS...
ayd Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 24 out of 24 herealthough when I worked for GE Capital you had to attened hundreds of these types of seminars, meetings etc.. so I may have had an unfair advantage as towards the way the answers were going to go
Timewaster Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 24/24 for me i must be such an arse licker, do you think i will get an apprenticeship at 46yo I started one last september aged 35.I'm the oldest "adult trainee" by 10 years As posted, they cant be seen to discriminate against ANYONE!
Mr Lobster Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 24/24 for me so apparently they are excited about my application! Just shows I've been working for big companies too long and been on too many courses showing you how to be a caring, sharing employee.Well, bollocks to that.
Father Ted Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 21/24Utter bollox of course. And perhaps Im missing something, but WTF has a ship got to do with Network Rail?
Mr Lobster Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 I wondered what HMS Whatever had to do with railways as well. Couldn't be arsed to look it up though...
aled Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 24/24 for me i must be such an arse licker, do you think i will get an apprenticeship at 46yo I started one last september aged 35.I'm the oldest "adult trainee" by 10 years As posted, they cant be seen to discriminate against ANYONE!i finished a 5 year engineering apprenticeship in 1984, worked in some right shitholes and worked alongside some real twats, not about to start another apprenticeship at this age - they can stick my application (which they are eager to recieve) right up their coliflower arses.
CortinaDave Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 22/24 - i also scored top marks on everything except respect. They are excited about recieving my application too. Network rail sounds like too much hard work to me though, i'll stick to playing records for a crust i think
whitevanman Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 22out of 24.............I to seem to lack respect !!!!!!!! WHO ME !!!!!!
garycox Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Hmm it it just a standard answer or something?22/24, full marks on all except respect....
