Jim Bell Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Quest for a Peugeot 305 1.8D XUD7 Radiator! Your mission (if you decide to accept it) is to fucking find one. They are NLA at Peugeot. In fact 305 parts and part numbers seem to be wiped from the parts databases (including the classic one). Possible dimentions: Core: 640x325x35 mm ?? Possible Part numbers: 1301.79 (OEM?)1305.96 ??2PE121 ??12PE385 ???1301.77 ?? I bought one from aaronradiators: http://www.aaronradiator.co.uk/products/Radiator_Peugeot_305_82_87_1_8_D_2PE121-7798-1247.html Who happily took my my money, only to tell me 5 days later that they are no longer available. Nice! There's one apparently in stock over at ukcarcooling, which looks totally different:http://www.carcooling.co.uk/products/Radiator_Peugeot_305_I_1769_cc_1982_82_07_82_08_82_1_8_Diesel_GLD_GRD_SRD_Manual_340_470_32mm_closed_system_exp_tank_12PE385-113277-976.html That's also out of stock. Theres nothing on Ebay uk or ebay France that looks right. Apparenty 405 TD and Saxo VTS fit, but I'm dubious. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FOR-PEUGEOT-405-MK-II-1-9TD-2-0-1992-1996-COOLING-VALEO-RADIATOR-1301G2-1301JL-/301067802323?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&fits=Car+Make%3APeugeot|Model%3A405&hash=item46190a16d3 610x367x46 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CITROEN-SAXO-VTR-PEUGEOT-106-CAR-RADIATOR-NEW-/290856418626?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item43b864bd42 SIZE 389x323x25 So. I'm sure most of you are better at google-fu than me. I offer to anyone who can bring to be the holy grail: TWO FREE AUTOSHITE DECALS. Of YOUR choice. Go!

Cavcraft Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 It's bound to be different, but for reference I'm pretty sure 106 radiators at least look quite similar. Jim Bell 1

How the eff?!
Jim Bell Posted May 1, 2015 Author Posted May 1, 2015 It's bound to be different, but for reference I'm pretty sure 106 radiators at least look quite similar. 106 rads are similar to saxo, similar to VTS. Smaller though. By a lot. Dunno if theyd be up to the job to be honest.
The Moog Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 If a 405td rad fits I have one you can have for beer tokens. Only 6 months old Jim Bell 1

Jim Bell Posted May 1, 2015 Author Posted May 1, 2015 Still attached to car but will be available in next couple of weeks... Car going to be Jim browned Thats Kool and the Gang. The current one is only leaking slightly when warm. Sure its got more than a couple weeks (Probably years) left in it.
eddyramrod Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 I've had a couple of rads rebuilt for previous cars, that might be the solution. Best of luck, whatever... Jim Bell 1
twosmoke300 Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Prob got a few bx ones kicking around if that could be made to fit
Jim Bell Posted May 1, 2015 Author Posted May 1, 2015 I've had a couple of rads rebuilt for previous cars, that might be the solution. Best of luck, whatever... Yeah cheers Eddie. Its always an option. Theres a refurb/rebuilder not far from here who said "theyd have a go. No promises" http://www.adrad.co.uk/ I'd like to have a planB though. In case it turns to dust upon removal or inspection.
