DodgyBastard Posted March 6, 2016 Author Posted March 6, 2016 Just been offered my old 309 back too! Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk Lacquer Peel 1
captain_70s Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 What the fuck is the current fleet count now? It has to be a fair way into double figures... Lacquer Peel 1
HMC Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Didnt reallise you had a mk1 espace too!!! What a brilliant fleet you've got.
KruJoe Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Those wheels looked wrong diddly wrong wrong on the E30, I'm glad you've found an Espace to fit them now.
DodgyBastard Posted March 6, 2016 Author Posted March 6, 2016 The collection of crap is certainly growing, I think with the addition of my old 309 I'll be up to 12 and I still have to collect the Brat and Horizon at some point too. DSC_9360 by srblythe, on Flickr DSC_9359 by srblythe, on Flickr I'm really liking this at the moment. The Espace however... Not so much. Living the dream! by srblythe, on Flickr DSC_9351 by srblythe, on Flickr DSC_9349 by srblythe, on Flickr It's a cool old bus but the driving position might take some getting used to and the pedals are quite close together. pshome, Dick Cheeseburger, oldcars and 3 others 6
trigger Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 I'm liking the Espace but I know what you mean about the driving position, it's like your a passenger and the cars driving you rather than your driving it.
DodgyBastard Posted March 7, 2016 Author Posted March 7, 2016 These free cars are getting better and better! Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk The Moog, beko1987, dieselassist and 10 others 13
trigger Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Jesus! What does that one need? I'm guessing it's been sat a while looking at the flat tyres.

It's been off the road for 3 years, it's a 3.5 v8 auto so gr8 4 driftin. I've no idea what it needs, it should run with a new battery on it. Coprolalia, fotorabia and trigger 3
gearoil Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 FOAD, may I ask, was your unit something to do with mining in its first use ? The sort of centre tower bit of it has me intrigued. V8 Bimmer FOC ? Good score Sir...

I now need some wiper arms as there were none with the car. I welded up the A pillar ages ago, it's not the best looking but I can now open and close the door without the door falling off. I'm hoping to have it on the road before May, it doesn't seem too far away. mouseflakes, Lacquer Peel, jonathan_dyane and 7 others 10
DodgyBastard Posted March 12, 2016 Author Posted March 12, 2016 Had a play with our £50 Esab welder today. DSC_9519 by srblythe, on Flickr DSC_9515 by srblythe, on Flickr It's pretty good, it had been stored in a really dusty container by a guy around the corner who does skip hire, Derskine wired a 3 phase plug onto it and had to tap a new clamp mechanism for the roller. I provided a decent spec welding torch and some 1.2mm flux cored wire, we used pure co2 as a shielding gas. Some pics of Derskine trying it out. DSC_9511 by srblythe, on Flickr DSC_9512 by srblythe, on Flickr And how the weld looks DSC_9513 by srblythe, on Flickr This was without cleaning the metal too. I tested it on some sheet metal and it seemed to be able to do it quite well. Next I'll be using it to weld a new front on the Lada. Eddie Honda, The Moog, Bucketeer and 1 other 4

Split_Pin Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 Y0 FOAD there is a 305 Van that's been parked up at Croziers farm at the back of Bonnybridge for some years, looks decent for spares to help your two. No idea if it's in his way or owt but can't imagine he has much use for it.
