Well, "if beauty is in the eye of the beholder" .. should have gone to Specsavers ...

Just to clarify - I’d love to know more about the mechanical side of things not the superficial shit

Take that up with the relevant body if it concerns you.

Agreed.

It's possible that the car would fall into the surprisingly long grace period that BL Rover enjoyed for some of their cars from the '92 emissions legislation anyway.

There's a massive list of Range Rover Classics which are exempt, and Minis might also be too - BL had a huge amount of unsold stock sitting around at the time with old engines like the A series and RV8, and there was a lot of flexibility.

My MoT tester wouldn't be too bothered about emissions on a car of this age.

What a beast!

An interesting non-Reliant exhaust note 😀.  Sounds good.

Just an observation but surely this mini being 1994 should be fuel injected and fitted with a catalytic converter to pass 1992 onwards MOT emission limits.

FWIW my Innocenti Mini (1993) is carb'd and that passes the emissions test with flying colours every year.

I was offered this one yesterday, t16 2.0 tomcat turbo engine running 260bhp with a few mods!

I said I'd take it.

Some work completed on the cortina this week, full inner and outer sill.

Waiting on some repair panels before I start on the rest of the rust.

It'll be painted all one colour when finished.

Excellent. Those seats! the wheels suit it well too.

Looks like something you'd find under your mums bed.

My N reg 1.4 astra with the inside of the cat removed, would almost pass emissions but not quite close enough. Had it been an M reg, it would have passed.

The Mazda truck I already had on but the winner wasn't getting on with it and actually called the scrappy to see how much he'd get, they offered £100 so he sold it back to me instead. I really don't know why someone would even consider scrapping such a vehicle but his logic was it only cost him £11.

The Subaru pickup I just got back having £4k worth of welding.

Fahk me that's a lot of welding. Looks awesome, and the 405 is sweet
