And the week after that is the battle of the boxy shitboxes.

The Lancia seems to be the popular car of the pair but we'll see what happens come the 17th of December.

The old girl is still going strong. Hoping to go to the Rertoshite meet this Sunday

Next one to go, the 3.0 V6 Cortina at great value of £7 a go!

The plates fitted to the car when I picked it up were incorrect with a Y printed instead of a V, so I chucked on some "show plates" until the correct ones arrive. Obviously everyone is asking "does it come with the plates?"

Previous owner had been running around on plates that weren't registered to anything and had managed to insure it by manually adding it to the database.

Crossflow mk2s with quarter bumpers are my childhood. Not an auto but I may still have a tickle...

Found some steel wheels for the escort.

It's still too low but it'll be off to a new home in a few weeks. I imagine the majority of people entering for it will be wanting the minilite alloys back on it and leave the ride height as it is.

Picked this one up at John Pye auctions!

Never again!

What happened at John Pye? I've got a load of stuff from there over the years mostly for the house. I've gotten some great bargains, but I've also found them to be dodgy as fuck when it comes to describing and photographing the stuff they're selling.

My own fault really for not reading the listing correctly. None of the cars have keys and they move them around via forklift.

I wonder where they get them from, they seem to be a real mix from the really new, to covered in green algae from sitting in a hedge for three years. They do a lot of proceeds of crime sales so I wonder if they are vehicles seized by the Police/DVLA.

Clamped for no tax by the looks of it.

Brilliant!  Is that FSO the one that was used to advertise someone's business in London for years ?

That exhaust needs more of an upward angle to work I reckon.

This looks to be in good shape compared to most other S13s!

Maybe this one hasn't been owned by an utter helmet, like most of them have.

I bought “a quantity” of ironing boards for £3 once at John Pye.I’d assumed they meant maybe 3 or 4. When I turned up to collect them, 13!

6 were knackered and went straight in their skip and I sold the ones I didn’t need on eBay.

straight in their skip

what's the bet they were fished back out and sold as a smaller "a quantity" the next day?

A guy I used to work with who DJ’d on the side, bought a ‘box’ of Halloween decorations for his setup. He went to pick them up in his van which was rather lucky when the box turned out to be an entire pallet.

TBF the ones that weren’t scrap were decent ones still with labels retailing at £29.99 in Asda.
