Sheep in 'Stealing Proton wheels and hiding them in fleece' shocker. "It just stole them and casually sauntered off" said Edna Nayrims (aged 83). "No one noticed, I was in shock and got serious whiplash."

I like those Fiat coupes very smart. Still never seen a Cityrover in the wild.

I've almost always encountered the staff at scrapyards having a really shit attitude. Apart from a few I know of, they always seem in a foul mood and are deeply distrusting of everyone.

I would quite like a strip of spare underseal for MrSavvy.

What a waste... must be ruined now, wot with it been on iss arse, like. :(

Thats normally because everyone seems to think that stealing from a scrappy is ok, but stealing from Tesco would be a crime.

And yeah, to be honest I have to include myself in there too.

I always feel it's a bit strange looking at pictures of a scrapyard containing vehicles that are 10-15 years newer than any of mine.

Noooo not a Proton Savvy!!!11

I had the honour of learning to drive in red Savvy. About half my lessons were preceded by my driving instructor phoning me to say the car was broken and at the garage being fixed again...

I think everyone thinks it's OK to nick stuff from the scrappers as you know they've paid sod all for the car but then want a fortune for the bits.

I know it's their job and stuff but most of the car is crushed so why not make the most of it and have those extra small bits you might need just in case. It's not like you're taking a bonnet or wheels

 tony is very reasonable priced..

he gets very angry at people trying to nick non consumable..

If he's "cheap" as in not a greedy shit that is instantly suspicious of you then OK I'd pay for everything but those ones that treat you like a thief for even just turning up I always think sod em

Never had any issues with scrapyard folk tbh. Be decent to them, etc.

My local Motorhog is very reasonable... Walk about and return with the shell ref/reg no.

£30 delivered pair Savv rear drums, mintolla (mine look like steak pie lids) #made of unobtanium. Good deal 4 me.

My local yard is U-pull-it in york (ex simpson salvage) .

every thing in there is late model salvage , not even a mk2 mondeo in sight , they go straight thru the frag in the other off limets to public area at the back .

i did however get a set of unmarked fiesta alloys with nearly new michelins on them for 80 english pounds. and a pocket full of fuses, bulbs, trim pieces and a gear knob for bugger all .

I do miss climbing over stuff at milton goughs tho :(

Out at West Sleekburn there's a nest of pikey yards.

My Savvy alloys [satriaSport] £50 for 4, centre caps too!

Took mankey tyres OFF for me.
