Did the LNA come from Worcester or live there at some point? I remember seeing an identical one parked in the city centre 20 years ago and thinking how rare it was it even then, in fact I reckon its the only one I have seen in the UK ever so its a strong chance its the same one!

I still don’t have the V5C yet, I believe the last owner of 6 years never ran or registered it but it came from Dudley. I was given an old V5C dated 27-1-05, showing 2 Former keepers, which I believe was the last registered keeper, that showed she bought the car in Oct 1991 and lived in Bristol. Another lady owned it Jan-Oct 1991 also from Bristol. I have no details of the first owner but the 1983 reg number was first registered in Bristol.

Of all the things I could spend my time on today I have spent some moving the LNA engine onto a work bench. It is too heavy to lift on my own so I made it walk the plank!

I didn't know you had a Biturbo, although it seems very right that you do. It looks like a lovely one, too. I haz a jealous.

You didn't know he has a complete set of BMC 1100's.

I doubt he does either.

Had the field not been so muddy you'd probably have seen it at Shitefest. I've seen it and it is lovely, the interior is like sitting in a bag of Werthers Originals!

And I believe one other of this parish.

Yes I think there are three of us with the disease but don't worry it is not contagious because there are hardly any more in the country!

I have just ordered a water pump for my Citroen LNA 1124cc, I hope it is going to be ok because the listing also says suitable for the 652cc air cooled engine as well!!!

It is Triumph Heralds we are closest to a set:

1963 Herald 1200cc Coupe – blue/white

1963 Herald 1200cc Saloon – green/white

1963 Herald 12/50 Saloon - white

1968 Herald 13/60 Convertible – white

1968 Herald 13/60 Convertible – red

1970 Vitesse 2.0 MK2 Convertible – white

The only one on the road is the Vitesse and the others need varying degrees of work.

Is this on John Deere's radar? He's pretty local to where the event is being held. If his red Pug is there with this green one and Mike's yellow one, then people's eyes really will melt!

Only replying a month late - haven't been keeping up lately! It was on my radar, and I would have loved to have gone - but had visitors descending that weekend, long planned.  Will aim for next year.  is the green pugnose RHD?

It's got a nicer interior than the Stellar...

I would still like to do a back to back photo shoot between the Biturbo and the Stellar some time.

  • 2 weeks later...

So you now have both the ex Robt sov and breadvans old one too? You've cornered the market!

Yes we have the Twins!

I have not seen the Ex bread Sovereign yet! It is still with Milton Keynes Jag Centre, the brakes are sorted but it has some electrical gremlins for the MOT.

Did they wash and polish it for you Chris, as she's looking good in that pic. Worth the financial pain I hope!

They gave it a wash last week so she was not too bad.

Can you remember when the oil was last changed?

Also I can't remember what the situation was with the right hand fuel tank?

I will try and get the wheels balanced to day as there is a bit of shake over 65 mph.

Then the roof will need painting but we are still working on my CX at the moment.

Oil will need doing, as will the coolant, as there's no record of when they were last done.

The RH fuel tank had a leak so I drained it and by-passed the pump.

Thanks I will add that to my todo list.

This evening we collected the Daimler Sovereign S1 from the Jaguar specialist who rebuilt the master cylinder and re MOTed the car fixing the non working wipers and a few bits and pieces.

We even managed a petrol station picture that I have been very poor at, but no woolarding I am afraid!

Great fleet shot! Lacking only an s3 to complete the set ( I'm half expecting you to have one tucked away somewhere)

Have you any other leaping cats?

No S3 and maybe.

I do like the Daimler V8s but I don't think now is the time, there is still some fettling to do on the ones we have.
