Just call Chris he'll have one" Nice one, but of all the cars I have only 4 have ever been out for film work. BMW 735i, BMW 325i, Triumph Vittese and now the Audi Cabriolet.
Tayne Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 I enjoyed that video, perhaps because I can identify with sentiments about friends I grew up with. Was Adult Ed driving a Discovery 2? worldofceri 1
Six-cylinder Posted January 23, 2017 Author Posted January 23, 2017 I enjoyed that video, perhaps because I can identify with sentiments about friends I grew up with. Was Adult Ed driving a Discovery 2? I think it was this. I could not find any images of my Audi being filmed. NorfolkNWeigh 1
Six-cylinder Posted January 27, 2017 Author Posted January 27, 2017 Yesterday I had a trip out to view a couple of spares cars Visas, no decision on what to buy but I was given a present of a new sunvisor for my C15. I was also shown a long body, no side door C15, the owner says he can get me one from France, I have said yes! Dirk Diggler, 3VOM, Dave_Q and 8 others 11

Six-cylinder Posted January 28, 2017 Author Posted January 28, 2017 Again I have not done a separate collection thread as there was not much to report and my cheap Samsung phone will not upload to this site. Having spoken to the seller I gave my friend a lift to Luton in my 156 this morning, for him to drive this little beauty back for me. I did at least manage a garage shot. I have wanted a ZR for a while now and bid on a few. Eventually I won a green one on ebay, that blew a head gasket fortunately before I collected it. Then my local garage were given a black one with air con and the garage owner said I could have it if he got the head gasket job it needed. Next thing I know the garage owners son took a liking to it and I lost it. So when Borniteldentity posted this one being available from a friend I jumped at it. My friend thinks it drives great. The faults observed Heater fan only works on high speed Drivers door lock missing A few bits of interior trim missing My friend thinks the noise from the front suspension is a ball joint rather than CV joint. Exhaust very noisy (I was told) Locking wheel nut key missing (I was told) Rust spot and a few minor marks in the paint (I was told) Overall I am very pleased with my purchase. Six-cylinder Posted January 28, 2017 Author Posted January 28, 2017 So much for the New Year resolution! 2016 was a heavy buying year with 10 purchased and just 2 sold, it has to stop. In fact the last car purchase was the visa GT in Aug 2016, so in fact I managed 5 months without a purchase! I have to moderate my 2017 buying! JohnK 1

Six-cylinder Posted February 2, 2017 Author Posted February 2, 2017 Working in the office today I have been distracted by a couple of deliveries and had to play with the ZR at tea break. The new wipers came for the MG ZR so I have fitted them. This reminded me of something Dollywobbler said recently "why does nearly every car I buy need wiper blades". May be because the last owner also only spent £3.89 on a pair of wipers delivered to there door like me! Breadvan gave me some floor mats for the Sovereign on new Years Day that were completely the wrong shape, they have sat in my office ever since. I had a light bulb moment today and tried them in the ZR and they are a perfect fit. The second hand locking wheel nuts & key I had bought for the ZR off ebay arrived today. Looking at the photo of the position of the pins made me think the key would not fit the ones on the car, but I would endeavour to get them off and use the replacements. The key does fit the ones on the car so did I guess it wrong from the photos or was I sent a different set from the ebay photos? What do you think? I guess not a bad day when you make three steps forward and only one back, I found when I went to tip the drivers seat forward to fit the rear floor mats the the back rest tilt will not release!
Guest Breadvan72 Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 I wonder if I gave you Dolomite mats by mistake. Do they have yellow bits on them?
Six-cylinder Posted February 3, 2017 Author Posted February 3, 2017 I wonder if I gave you Dolomite mats by mistake. Do they have yellow bits on them? Sorry I did not think of the possibly that you had given me the wrong ones, these are the ones you gave me do you want them returned before I start using them?
Guest Breadvan72 Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 No, please keep them. Not sure what car they were for! Six-cylinder 1
Six-cylinder Posted February 3, 2017 Author Posted February 3, 2017 No, please keep them. Not sure what car they were for! Thanks. It says on the packet they are for a "Universal", don't know that one!
oldcars Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 No idea why one of these would need mats. DeeJay, Six-cylinder, Supernaut and 5 others 8
