We ran a wire straight from the battery ( which I made up with the wires from the old ignition module). Not a sausage from it. So the cabin button could be fine . The old one looks identical to this eBay cheapy.

richardmorris Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 I will try not to derail the thread too much, but Chris wanted information on the semaphore tower I visited on a walk this morning. there were 14 plots of land bought ( 15 days after the battle of Waterloo) between 5 and 9 miles apart depending on the topography. Chatley Heath was by far the largest built and most were two storey. It’s 9miles as the signal is sent / crow flies to the admiralty. And 75 miles to Portsmouth. it was fully operational in 1822 and messages took 15 mins to reach Portsmouth.
