I almost like this film for being the shiteyist Bond flick ever, in all respects. But they made the monstrous error of killing Patrick Macnee, so it's actually just shit.

YOLT does score extremely high for featuring the Toyota 2000GT - but Connery's squinty makeup? Sherioushly?

There's also a Fuego in this one so it's a film for winnars! All the Connery ones are shit apart from Diamonds Are Forever, because it's slightly camp and ridiculous.

I reckon From Russia With Love is excellent, you could take it outside of the Bond 'series' and it would still work. He did carry on with them far too long though.

Personally, I always found Moore just a bit too hammy and comical - but if you think of Bond as a glorified comic-book hero, that's probably a good way to play him. The only one I really disliked was Brosnan.

Its like whichever Dr Who you grew up with, with Bond - Moore sort of has the edge for me, and anyone other than Jon Pertwee or Tom Baker is frankly pants.

Moore is best, urbane, camp, designed his own clothing for the Persuaders and used to drive an Ovlov. What's not to like?

Yes, Roger Moore for me too, the whole Bond thing thing is comic book stuff and needed the blank faced one line humour which Moore supplies in spades.

''absolutely, no sense going off half cocked''

Moore is one of my heroes anyway, one of that increasingly rare breed who doesn't take himself too seriously.

Best Bondage:

1. Skyfall, OHMSS or The Spy Who Loved Me. All are fantastic epics. Cortinas, Sherkas, Roger Moore, Jaws and Barbara Bachs top bollocks may just seal the win. Moore is an utter legend.

2. Diamonds are forever.

3. Goldfinger. They crushed a '63 Lincoln. Bastards.

4. The other Connery/Moore jobs.

5. The Brosnan films. I like him. He saved the Bond franchise ftom Dalton Death but they seem oddly dated now. And a fucking Z8/tarts Z3/council estate 7 Series? I don't think so.

63. Anything with T Dalton. A great actor but a poor Bond. The first two Daniel Craig films were utter shit, like upmarket Chuck Norris stuff.

Moore was the worse Bond but my favorite Bone, and my favoirte actor, just over Micheal Caine.

I loved how Roger Moore's Bond films were always just two an half hours of Roger Moore being a dick to everyone, slapping girl's arses, necking way too much to able to do his job properly, flirting, crashing other people's cars and wearing blazers.

He is BONDSHITE.

Licence to kill. Win.

No mad bastard trying to take over the world - just old fashioned revenge.

And Timothy Dalton can act- he was a good Bond who came along at the wrong time.

Brosnan was too lightweight.

I dont know about a Licence to kill, I thought he needed a bullworker.

I agree about Dalton. I wish he had done a few more films.

I can't really stand the Moore ones, especially if that dumbass Sheriff is involved. Dalton was ok, Brosnan acceptable (ok, I mainly just love the car chase on ice in Die Another Day). Craig got off to a flyer. I love how dark Casino Royale is. Quantum of Solace was outrageously poor. I think I've seen Skyfall but am struggling to remember a single thing about it.

Agreed, QoS was cack.

I think it's all down to how you interpret Bond though. Craig is very close to Flemming's Bond and Roger Moore...Well he was something totally different!

I'm lucky to have seen various Moore Bond films at the pics. TSWLM, Moonraker, octopussy and VTA Kill. Octopussy was weak and For Your Eyes Only worse.

The end of View to a Kill was filmed at Amberley Chalk Pits which was near where my family had moved to shortly before. The fact I had actually been there around the time it was being filmed was, at the time, pretty much the coolest thing that had happened in my life up until that point.

And on the best Bond thang, Connery for me, although I am of an age where Goldeneye brings the best memories as I LIVED that game for 2 years. Other than my mates who I played with at the time, I am yet to find anyone who can beat me (and even for them its not that common). Many who thought they were good have tried but they have failed even recently. Everyone is good at something, I am good at Goldeneye on the N64.

If only I could have been good at something that made me rich.

I like a good bond film before all that politically correct nonsense crept in,

Not forgetting the main reason I love vans,  jaws has to be the best villain of all time :-D

After much umming and ahhing WOMAN_PARTRIDGE bought an N64, which happened to come with Goldeneye. I've had a few blasts of it, not been able to get past the first level yet though.
