Okay, got a new shite phone, so hey - here's some shite!

I dunno if it looks bad to you guys from the photos, but it's actually in very very clean nick.

Not a car I would choose tho. Hafta say...

Oh aye, and the owner has included a yellow/black steering wheel cover, and a yellow/black gearstick.

Tacky?

I think so...

That could have been so good but they ruined it with the hood. To short and upright at the rear. I bet it looks alright with the hood down and the top off.

It turns it into a sort of Lagonda meets Panther thing!

Never did ever get to see a Lagonda in the flesh - it featured in my childhood M&S 'Encyclopedia of the Motorcar' (Which I still have).

Nope, foreword by (catchy name, what?) Dr Ing. h. c. Ferdinand Porsche!Got it for Christmas in 1984. Loved it! Still do!Although admittedly, it has been more used for pressing autumnal leaves for my girls in the last few years!

I've driven one!Was booked in for bodywork 'restoration' and I was asked to go & collect it. Felt a big car & was good on the road, had a powerful note to it & seemed acceptably quick - I drove it with care though.

JBA Engineering had a factory on the industrial estate just up the road from me in the 80s where they converted the capri into these convertible/targa top type cars they also made a Morgan look a like type sports car. I would like to see if any of those still exist, I think these were based on Capri or Cortina running gear. I remember them being featured on our local news programme as a budding new business but by the nineties I think they faded away

The JBA Falcon, think they're still making them!

although it would appear that the company is for sale.. http://www.jbacars.co.uk/index.htm

Thank you for that information it seems they moved to Kent from here in Lancashire that is probably why I thought they had disappeared, I used to see their cars driving through the village when they were here. I am sorry to hear they are up for sale, I hope they find a buyer and keep trading as they are great little kit cars.

I might be mistaken about their move a little further look into their website reveals their Standish address so maybe they are still there although I never see their cars around. I may have a look on the industrial estate when I am driving past and see if they are still operating, I hope they are.

So. In closing your honour, I put it to you that between this and the white alloyed monstrosity, our house requires not one but TWO cat piss tarps?

Posted

Well, you havenae been trying hard enough eh?

Mk3 Golfs do get pretty grotty, hence my old one being used as a temporary woodshed

Shit, now why didn't I think of that. I'm in need of a woodshed!

Some more substandard motoring devices!

Lovely wee Pug 104 (the first car I drove when I passed my test was an LNA. Loved it!)

I also love these motors - would love to try one some time. Intrigued as to how they handle:

Decent Saab starting to rot!

This CF has been here for ages - the adjacent house is a classic 'crazy ole man/woman' gaff. Y'know - collections of Jampots in the window etc.

I KNOW parts are hard to get, but I just love CFs! Really cool shape/size etc. Look great in matt black with no bumpers....

And finally, just cos I saw it there, here's another Corolla.

Out of tax Jan 09.

Could be a cheap daily. Anyone want me to leave a note on it?

104 is a rare bird now, haven't seen one in a while! That one must have been practically the last registered although I don't know whether the 205 was launched here any earlier than A-reg?
